Although I agree that queries are a good method of getting a line total, I find that storing the totals in the table really optimize the database by leaps. What I usually do is have an Edit Form so when an invoice or order needs to be adjusted the user can use that. Add some vba after some events and presto, Totals are recalculated. Also, the Edit Form can be used to add other stuff to the primary table like: -Last Edited Date -Edited By User -Reason for Edit Great for the audit trails. This is frown upon by developers but screw that, optimization over tradition any day of the week I say.
