The cut in the programme at 9:42 was very frustrating - I was just getting ready to be put into a “refreshing state of mind!”

Wow that truly touched my heart when Bud encouraged everyone to worship and then he said to make it a weekly habit. God has a way of showing up everywhere!!🙏🏾🙏🏾

The comment about Funk and Wagnalls took me right back to my childhood and the days of "Laugh-In". One of the popular catch phrases on the show was "Look THAT up in your Funk and Wagnalls!" 7:40 That was a dumb reason, Kitty. The imposters were *_allowed_* to lie.

Point of interest: three of the four panelists in this episode all died 45 years later in the same month: April 2007: Tom Poston, Barry Nelson and Kitty Carlisle.

Kitty Carlisle was 52 here and looks great. Most 52 yr olds back in 1962 didn't even come close to looking that good.

TakeAShowerStinky has proven himself (or herself) to be a complete moron in comments left on other videos. I haven't banned him (or her) just because I find his (or her) idiotic comments slightly amusing, in a condescending sort of way. Don't bother responding to him (or her), though!

***** You must not remember the first exchange I had with you in a comments section.

***** Yes, that was me you were "kidding" with. I pointed out that the video title was a complete lie intended to troll for viewers who didn't know any better (no WML episode was EVER banned), and you told me I was just jealous. It was a wonderful way to introduce yourself.
@totellthetruthcbs42208 жыл бұрын
***** I would believe that the video title was just an honest mistake if it hadn't been pointed out DOZENS of times already in comments by many people, not just me, that the title is outright false. If whoever posted it had just made an honest mistake, it would have been corrected by now. It will never be corrected, because the whole point of that video title was to fool people into watching the episode on a false basis (which is against KZbin policies, by the way, using misleading video titles and descriptions, not that I reported the video. But it's not right what this person did, it's not right at ALL.) You're welcome for the videos and I'm glad you've been enjoying them. But now that I've reminded you of that first interaction, maybe you can understand my attitude towards to you. Telling me I was just being **jealous** of someone else's WML video post was completely off base, unfair and unwarranted, especially considering that I have a very successful channel with the entire series already posted. I added the comment about the misleading video title so that people would not be misled, not because I'm jealous of anyone else's videos. I'm more than willing to put all of this behind us, but you honestly really ticked me off at the time.

The movie "Marry Mary" has a special place in my memory. When I was seven, my parents used to take my brother and me to the movies on Tuesday evenings in Burbank, California, because Tuesday was "cheap night." And we saw a lot of "adult" movies that were way above my head. Anyway, it drove me crazy trying to figure out how Barry Nelson's character could be a "good guy," because I was a dyed-in-the-wool Catholic, and his character was a divorced man who wanted to get married again. And, as every good Catholic knew, you could only get married twice if your first wife (or husband) was dead! Honestly, this bothered me for a long time! :)

Leonard "Red" Kelly was one of my favourite hockey players as a kid. Then again, at that time I was crazy about any of the Maple Leafs. Kelly broke into the league with the Detroit Red Wings playing with Gordie Howe who would be a mystery guest a few years after this episode. When he went to Toronto he was moved from being a defenceman to being a forward because he had the size to counter Jean Beliveau, who had been on the show a few years before this. Among the players he played with in Toronto was Tim Horton, who I don't think was ever on the show but who is famous today (at least in Canada) for the chain of "cafe and bake shops" that bear his name. By the way, Red Kelly is the only one of the players I mentioned who is still alive. He turned 89 on July 9, 2016.

Red Kelly was an intelligent man of integrity evidenced by his dealings with the not so honourable Detroit Red Wing management of the time. Later he went on to coach and authored one of the stranger episodes in NHL history in the mid 70s by his extolling the virtues of Pyramid Power with his Maple Leafs
@bluebear19857 жыл бұрын
Brent McKee Even though his coaching seasons were all consecutive, he did it with three different teams. After he won the Stanley Cup with the Leafs in 1967, he retired as a player and became the first coach of the then-expansion Los Angeles Kings. After coaching there for two seasons, he would do the same for the Pittsburgh Penguins for four seasons. He would be behind the Leafs bench for the same period of time afterwards.

I would have needed to disqualify myself on the second segment because the face of "Red" Kelly is very familiar to me. He was never known as Leonard as a player. Since we don't have the benefit of color, I have to guess that at least one of the impostors did not have red hair, thus totally omitting the use of his nickname. Since Peggy Cass had such an extensive knowledge of hockey, I would assume that she had heard of "Red" Kelly and would have used his nickname as a major clue. #2 got the definition of blue line incorrect. The center line is the red line.

Religion is personal and should remain that way. People have used and abused it to justify their prejudices against others. They forget that we fled England to avoid religious persecution.
