I worked with Winnie from 1975 until her death in 1982, She called herself Mama Winnie, the Greatest of the Red Hot Mamas. My band backed her in Palm Springs, Las Vegas and Colorado Springs. We also had her appearing at the Holiday Inn in Victorville Ca. She was a hoot and half.

Faye Pierson just died 3/6/21 at the age of 92. She was an amazing lady and was still racing at 90. Like I said, "Amazing"!

Tom was doing what he probably wanted to do for a long time, as kind of a joke just walk out when every vote was wrong, it was the final segment and he jumped at the chance, I mean everyone knows he has a unique sense of humor.

In case anyone was wondering who the Mr. Duke Dina Merrill asked about in Round #2 was: that was Angier Biddle Duke, contestant #1's boss and Chief of Protocol of the United States in the 1960s. The tragedy contestant #2 refused to discuss was that Duke's third wife, Maria-Luisa de Arana of Spain, whom he married in 1952, had just died in a plane crash in 1961. Just in case anyone was interested (because contestant #3 didn't pronounce Duke's name very clearly).

Given the circumstances, it was an insensitive and inappropriate question.

I raced karts in the 80s and had never heard of Faye Pierson but I had heard of Bug karts. I did see an episode of TTTT where Kathy Hartman was on. I knew Kathy and drove a Hartman kart.

Interesting that in 1962 they were simply called "carts," not "gocarts." As for Tom, sometimes nature just calls and there is little you can do except head for the men's room !

Bathroom break? Wouldn't you think they could accomplish that during the commercial break? Also Tom is generally too much of a gentleman to disappear without good reason. Tom's last comment was regarding hearing the cabaret singer sing again. Could he have wanted to be first in line to talk to her? 😁 Or perhaps Bud was serious about Tom having to hurry to make an Indianapolis flight. Guess we'll never know...

It was just a comic reaction to the panel getting skunked again, as they have several times recently.
