Fun fact, The alola region is based on the hawaiian islands and gumshoos is, I think, based on a mongoose. Mongoose were originally brought over to hawaii to deal with a rat (rattata is obviously the rat pokemon) infestation. Funny enough it didn't work because no one thought to relaize that Mongoose are primarily day time hunters and rats are mostly active at night. So now you've got islands filled with both! Just a fun little parallel I thought I'd share
