Fun fact, the squid boss for the water temple is a similar species to the octoroks as if you rematch the boss in the depths it drops octo balloons, octorok tentacles and octorok eyes

@AshleyRoboto only thing I wish, once you fight a temple boss, you can rematch them in the depths, most bosses drop an item to fuse to a weapon, each one has like a 36-40 fuse power, but muktorok doesn't drop any fuse item, I was a bit upset. Also if you fuse the item from queen gibdo to a weapon it has a gust effect, for the colgera it's a Slash effect with a wider range, for the fire temple one it's a hammer fuse effect

I love how the intended strat to beat Colgera is to just dive through the rings by holding R, but everyone used arrows instead-

I used a mix of diving through and shooting with arrows. When I was above I was diving and when it was coming up from the portals I would use my arrows.

The spirit temple boss was easily my favorite. Unfortunately I got my hand up the cookie jar and spoiled myself to the 4 other temples, but going into the spirit temple blind was such an amazing experience, definitely my favorite temple + boss!

You're the first person I've seen who didn't defeat Colgera by using only arrow. That seems to be the first thing everybody thinks of. It took me about half the fight to realize I didn't have to skydive through the weak points, but it was way more fun that way!

Haha I simply ran out or I probably would have only used arrows! I had to improvise… and then the controller bugged out and made me use my body as a weapon and then it was my fav fight LOL

The boss fights were easily the most-improved thing from BotW to TotK. They weren't really any harder, but the designs were far more interesting. Even that goober in the Water Temple gut a chuckle out of me, which is more of a reaction than any of the blights did.

the mucktorok fight was definitely obnoxious, and was my first temple boss. i barely used sidon's power for the fight. i just fired splash fruit arrows and fused an opal to one of those magic rod weapons you can get in some shrines to throw water spells around. but the antigravity stuff up there was SO damn cool that it made up for the frustrarion personally

Ya'll are just bad at using him. HE ALSO gets stuck in the mud, he cannot spawn next to you if you run away from him, also his power makes zora weapons with strong fused items insanely strong and with good durability unlike gerudo fused weapons. A lot of people really sleep on Sidon's ability SMH...

Insanely late to this, but Colgera's music ALSO alludes to Molgera's theme from Wind Waker, though less obviously. But honestly I'm just glad you noticed the epic Dragon Roost/Rito Village theme, it's wild how many people miss out on it because they spam arrows on the boss and kill it in 20 seconds.

Since Link can divebomb through Colgera's crystals, it's actually entirely possible to fight it without any weapons equipped at all. I've done that in the depths rematches. The difficulty is unchanged beyond the lighting and knowing how to actually fight the thing. Marbled Gohma was also made much easier in the rematches, since there's no ceiling for it to cling to. During the second phase, when it does the ring rock attack, if you're near one of it's legs, one of the rocks won't come down, creating a gap in the ring you can run through. The Mucktorok was an absolute PITA to fight, so I haven't bothered with any of those rematches. I doubt the rematches would be any more difficult than the original water temple boss, though. I haven't attempted to fight any of the Queen Gibdo rematches, but I suspect that the lack of overhead lights like there was in the lightning temple would make it much harder to take out the lesser Gibdo adds, which would make that fight harder. EDIT: I have now fought all the depths rematches, and the Mucktorok and Queen Gibdo weren't quite as bad as their overworld counterparts, mainly because I now have access to better armor, but more importantly, some good Zonai parts. For Mucktorok, if you fuse a Zonai hydrant to a shield, it somewhat trivializes the fight, so long as your Zonai battery holds up. For Queen Gibdo, either a flame emitter or shock emitter fused to the shield also make the fight easier, since you're not nearly so reliant on Riju to make the boss vulnerable.

Mucktorok was my first boss and it was so annoying and so was the Gibdo Queen, which was the last boss of the Regional Phenomena quest, though Colgera and Gohma were so much fun. I haven’t reached the Spirit Temple yet.

I LOVE the new bosses, they’re just so… Scary in a sense, so unique. Sure, some of them may have been a little easy, but the soundtracks that also went along with the designs of the bosses sold it to me.. I miss bosses like Twighlight Princess and I feel like these sort of hit more over on that kind of specturm.

The wather temple boss was such a pain. I tried to fight him normal but in the end I just threw wather jewels at him and kicked his ass when he was on the ground 😅 In the end, I should have had a wather weapon. Maybe he would be easier and not as gem consuming

God, that temple ground my nerves to powder. Honestly, though. I loved that compilation. Well done. Fire temple took me forever. But i mean, i just grabbed a guide cause i saw bastion and was like 'dont feel like doin this ' Boss took foreverrrr tho. I used arrows primarily and had trouble hitting them second phase. Did use weapons a bit last phase however
