Guitar is a takamine nashville. From a time to now takamine is building some extraordinary acoustic guitars, i think better than ovation and some martins, taylors and even gibsons. I was looking for an ovation but finally decided for takamine, just because its sound its so balanced, not so bassy (like martins) nor too crisp (like taylors) and with a softer mast than ovations. Takamine is beating them all althought ive been an ovation fan for so long.

Smooth & Tender. Sharp & Splendid. This is 1 of the most memorable and affective song ballads that I can think of. It's 80s tone and melody has stayed with me through the ages. But, in lieu of that, I found it an intriguing prospect to hear a fresh take on it, with an individual point of view. The end result is simply MAGNIFICENT! Your voice was well-suited for the challenge & I found myself getting chills during the chorus. I liked that it was your own style, complimenting the original intent.

if I get time over the weekend i'll try get a video together but no promises, and tbh my friend the version I play is converted to make it easier on the vocals the original was done in A I transcribed this to be played in G, so more than likely the tabs you find would be in the original key and you wouldn't find this as I did it by ear. but again i'll try get a video out for peeps to learn it -Clint

hehe yeh the song has a insane chorus singing wise i had to drop it from A to G plus my guitar is 1/2 step down on tuning and still i was busting my nuts on the chorus but on the verse it was boarderline nearly to low for me good challenge though and ty for the comment mate -Clint

yes I did my friend, the original key was in 'A' I just transposed it down by 2 frets to 'G'

thank you :) but believe me this is the only key i could sing it in, i tried numerous alternative keys, and the correct key is 'A' as oppose to 'G' which is the key you see in the video, so that would make it capo on the 2nd fret not 1st to have the song played in the same key as the original thanks again -Clint

the guitar is directly plugged into a m-audio firewire solo box and I'm singing via a shure sm58 microphone, yeh its quite a good sound i get its certainly come a long way from when i use to record through a desktop mic and use cool edit pro 1.2 hehe thanks friend :) -Clint

Dropping this to F would probably be perfect for you instead of starting in A. I had a problem with King of pain by the police until I heard Alanis Morisette do a cover of it and she dropped the song 3 notes. Finally I was able to sing it without going too deep or too high. I know you probably want to stay true to the original key but remember, the musicians can change to suit the singer a lot easier than vice versa. your voice is spot on by the way. If anyone ever says otherwise... jealousy lol
