A couple of years ago, I played this song for my late son. I told him that I remember it being on the radio in the 1980s. He LOVED this song, and it instantly became a favorite of his. He put it on his play list. I think of him whenever they play it at work.

Yes!!I always heard "empress," too, and I like it better than Olympus because this song is about a land (Africa), and lands, like ships, are called she; whereas Olympus signifies a male energy. Just sayin'.
