Hace mas de 10 años existia en esta plataforma un Africa Remix que se comentaba que habia sido re-mezclado por un Dj uruguayo con algun efecto especial de la selva al principio y luego alternancias de las diferentes partes del original. Quizas sea una leyenda urbana...lo cierto es que esa version la tengo por ahi!! La cancion trata básicamente sobre una mujer que vuela al continente africano, donde le aguarda un solitario misionero. Paich, su autor, la describe como una canción de amor sobre una África idealizada, basada en la forma en que siempre la imaginó. Los detalles de los paisajes provinieron de lo que había leído en National Geographic. En realidad, pasaron varios años hasta que la banda por fin pudo tocar en África, en Cape Town, y Johannesburgo, Sudáfrica, en 1990. Lamentablemente esa zona no es la que mejor representa al continente... Great Steve´s Remix !!!

Glad you like them! As for context - well I really am a grandad and I simply learnt how to make these types of remixes during Covid/lockdown. I had previously always had a love of music/video/photography but as we couldn't get out much it seemed like a good time to learn/try something new - really for my own listening pleasure. Once a few friends had said how much they enjoyed some of my early efforts I then let my "babies" out into the wide world via KZbin - ta da!!
