Not everybody knows it's Michael MCdonald in the background vocals. Only a few of us 80s freaks who have followed him since he was in the Doobie brothers and then as a soloist. Nothing like Toto to bring me back to the 70's and 80's. Adding Michael McDonald on backrounds was nothing short of genius. I seriously can not remember Toto putting out a bad song. They all have something that just grabs you. Amazing band, amazing times. I am so thankful to have lived in it.

they are not underrated, they have sold millions of albums and were on the cover of every rock magazine in the 80s This particular song was a Top 40 hit in 1986.

To Lucha's point they were never an MTV popular band like say Duran Duran or The Police at the time but among their musical peers they were highly respected. There's a reason why Quincy and Michael asked them to play on the mega selling Thriller or Lionel Richie's biggest album Can't Slow Down. They were simply some of the best studio musicians in the business that everybody wanted and knew would make their record sound that much better.

Two of the Porcaro brothers died long time ago. First Jeff Porcaro, one of the greatest drummers in the history. Then Mike Porcaro, the bass player. Steve Porcaro (keyboards) decided to put an end of this great band. They are still alive in our hearts.

The best part is that Michael Mcdonald was nowhere in the room or on the rooftop or in the flyby helicopter shots, then somewhere around the 2:20 mark he magically appears to add that haunting vocal. Magically I say! That man's a magician, probably in league with David Copperfield. This was the 80s, anything can happen.
