OK. I personally had to dig deep for some positives out of it. Mainly as it threw me off a bit I never heard anything from toto that sounded this way. Im planning to do holyanna next so come on back. do you have any recommendations off this particular album? thank you for commenting

Toto the name literally translated means all encompassing . meaning they do it all with music. So if you think something is not Toto then you do not understand them

Toto has been my favorite band since 1982, when Rosanna was released. One of the things I REALLY like about them is that unlike a lot of bands, Def Leppard for example, their stuff isn't always the same. They do music in many genres. For me it just shows the breadth of their talent. That being said, I think this was my least favorite album of theirs because, to me, it has a tinny, discoish sound that doesn't appeal to me. If you want a good song from this album to review, listen to the song Isolation. It's my favorite from the album.

AH you came in at the right moment. I just put up another toto track. Thank you for the information as well as the recommendation from toto 14 I've been very hesitant to getting back to that album do to the 1st track not really hitting home. I'll give that one you suggested a try

Toto 14, in my opinion, is their BEST album. There isn't a bad song on it and it definitely has that quintessential TOTO sound. The song Unknown Soldier, from that album, is a drumming tour de force that is a mini class in how it's supposed to be done. The songwriting and musicianship on that album is incredible and I have NO clue why it didn't produce a string of big hits. I think the world has moved on from good music.

You're right, this is not really a very Toto sounding song. Although they did have an eclectic catalogue of music. The sound on the entire Isolation album has a over-all different feel than the previous four albums. With Fergie, their lead vocalist for this release only, they were going for big rock arena band. There wasn't any Porcaro groove/feel to any of the songs. I've been a big Toto fan since 1978 when it started for them. I did see them during this tour and it was good but didn't match the quality of the 7th One tour which I saw at the Gorge amphitheater in Washington State in 1988. And even their shows for Toto XIV and their last tour.

@@kympridham8267 That is true. I have an album I bought in 1980 or 81 that is a radio interview with Jeff Porcaro and David Paich from 1978 where Jeff talks about the Latin meaning of Toto being "all encompassing". And they definitely have encompassed all types of music since the beginning of their career.

I've never heard this song before, but it sounds like a rejected song submission for Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego or a bad 80's detective/action show........

@@totallyradreactions5006 This whole album is great. There’s a lot better songs then this one on it. The album that this is from is called Isolation. It has more of a arena rock sound compared to their other releases. They also had a different lead singer at the time in Fergie Fredriksen. This album is my favorite Toto album. Another great Toto album is Kingdom Of Desire from 1992. This song was actually their third biggest hit after Africa and Rosanna.
