I'm absolutely spitting fire right now! These last two performances have pretty much convinced me that we ain't winning this league. Call me overreactive and dramatic, but we've literally seen this play out multiple times before. We have a great start to the season, then injuries and burnout hit, our most important players like Salah lose form, we fail to bring in reinforcements and then the collapse hits us. If we don't win this league with Arsenal faltering and either Forest do a Leicester, or City come back with multiple January signings and pip us to the league after having their usual second half of the season surge, I'm quitting football forever. I'm so fed up with my club being treated like a business with zero ambition! Also, the cheating that Spurs did to win this game plays a big part as I'm so done with officials consistently screwing us every chance they get, and we have evidence to prove this with David Coote but you get idiots like Jilmo saying we're a bunch of conspiracy theorists. Can we just chill and accept that this is a little blip... We've played alot of games in quick succession and still have more to come. I think the rotation was fine today with resting Diaz, TAA, Robbo, Iboua while trying to keep momentum... Szobo has been out and his intensity is a huge miss, Jota, Tsimi and Brad are fresh back from injury and today was an oportunity to get minutes. I think most if not all fans have no clue what actually goes into the running of a club. There are so many moving parts that fans just ignore. For every player you sign the knock on affect is another player who won't play and won't make the bench. If for example Gomez is injured for a few weeks, you can't sign a player to replace him. You think you are fixing a problem, but you are creating a different problem. When a player returns, he can't get in the team and more importantly, he can't get on the bench. In affect you have sold a player who is still at your club. You have created disharmony in a camp of players, for a new player who is unproven in your team. Players can accept being on the bench because they can always feel they may play. A player sitting at home is just getting angry. You have to sell or trust in your players because they can't all make the bench. Dominic is currently ill, so someone like Chiesa can make the bench. What happens when Dom and Gomez are back? Who is spending their weekends at home. A squad is an ecosystem with friendships and expectations. You want as many players as possible with maximum motivation in order to win. Its why some managers say they like smaller squads because its easier to keep all your players motivated.
