Ha die Kurt. Mooi gefilmd.

Wow. Is the front chain tug(?) pulling all of them? Interesting set-up on that. the chain lying on the bottom and all. very unique.

please tell me more about this place why are they being towed and the reason many thanks Regards from the uk.
@VMKurt8 жыл бұрын
+thameswater They are towed because they go through a 6km long tunnel without ventilation. For that reason the use of engines is forbidden.

@@VMKurt what powers the winch pulling the chain ?
@lorithorpe35024 жыл бұрын
@@VMKurt why don't they have air vents or air pumped into the tunnel ,there's a tunnel over here in uk , called harecastle tunnel ,& they pump air in before you go enter , ive been through it , & it's very cold lol .
@willjankuvic93873 жыл бұрын
@@lorithorpe3502 This "Riqueval Tunnel" was made in the times of Napoleon Bonapartes years 1801 - 1810 and in these times air vents were not at that priority as it would be in a project of today , I believe. The tunnel is a masterpiece anyway, done by hands and horses.

@@janner1596 The Tug is electric. There are three Overhead Wires, so I guess it runs on Triple Phase AC.
