Really detailed overview! Gives me a good idea what to do when I get the game next week! Biggest takeaway for Freestyle is just to do some mental estimates of your score. When you know you're 1st, stop and let the combo end before starting up again.

Awesome breakdown, dude! If anyone is having issues on PC with menus being odd and clunky, be sure to disable Steam. You won't skip around and stuff And for real, Hard difficulty is mental. The AI is practically perfect but Normal is way too easy. Bummed about the difficulty. Which I would say is my biggest, and largely only, complaint.

Thanks so much! and I totally agree! Normal is way too easy, hard you have to have a perfect run or you're out. Horde mode on hard is nearly impossible!

Looks in the replay there is no cinematic TV style spectator view just the standard cam views.

Yes! before you start any mission, press the X button (or the playstation equivalent) and you can change the settings, it should be right at the top.

Did you pre-order? You should have gotten a code from game stop on your receipt. Otherwise you'll have to wait until October when they become available to purchase separately. :(

Sorry mate. So after you finish an event, at the bottom of the screen you'll see an option that says "replay" at first I thought it meant "replay the level" but that takes you into the video replay mode. I think you have to hit RB to go into it. Keep your eye out for it!

Not to downplay Showdown, but I feel like the tracks are made from a generator. I don't know if it's because of the three stadium types but I would've loved to see different schemes. That's really my only gripe besides the physics and no truck/track editor. Thanks for the Start Guide.

You're not alone feeling that way! I don't think that the tracks are made by a generator, but they definitely don't feel refined enough yet for sure.

So if you can, I recommend getting the Big Air edition. It comes with the season pass, 3 day head start and some DLC trucks you won't be able to get otherwise until October. As for the season pass, you'll get access to all of the planned DLC trucks and the expansion pack in December. It's a better value than if you bought them all separately.

There is bonus time in the best trick I’ve had bonus time in like all of the freestyle. I think one freestyle went on for like five minutes.

Just judging by what I've seen from videos so far, the only gripe I have is the lack of arena/stadium racing. If you took this games graphics, unlock system, and physics and then the Steel Titans 2 "career" stuff, it feels like this would be significantly better.

So... that's not exactly true, there is stadium head to head racing and freestyle, there's just a definite lack of variety with the venues. The layouts are fun and I'd say most are directly modeled after real Monster Jam events. But I do agree, a career mode, or a mode that more closely aligns with the way Monster Jam events work would be nice to have.

Different developer so it definitely has a different feel to it. I wouldn't say the physics are great just yet, but it's still a fun game.

Question, ive been trying to unlock the "Short Event Perfectionist" challenge and i have no clue what that means and what i need to do. Can someone help?

Short events are the green events, I think the perfectionist challenge wants you to get gold in all of the events or complete the secondary objectives in all of the events, either way, you're on the right track you just need to keep working on the green events.

Do you unlock truck's when leveling up so if you go from level 1 to level 2 do you unlock a truck

So, keep your eye out for a truck unlock guide next week, but trucks are unlocked in a variety of ways. Some are from just playing the game and gaining experience points, some are unlocked from completing boss battles, most are unlocked by completing various challenges in the game.

You have to drive a really long distance... Like really long! You can go into the training ground and just drive around in circles if you want, but that's not as fun imo.
