This along with Luther Vandross, Peabo Bryson, Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder, Boz Scaggs, Don McLean, Jim Croce, Air Supply, America, The Commodores, Christopher Cross, John Denver, James Ingram and others were the artists that were played by my sisters all day long on our stereo during the long summer break when they were in high school. When they went to college in the early 80’s, it was my older brothers’ turn to have their music on: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Queen, Eagles, The Ramones, The Who, Dead Kennedy’s, The Cure, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Tears for Fears, The Police, U2, etc. Then they went college and it was just me, my mom, and my dad left at home in the late 80’s. So out came my dad’s old records again: Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, The Platters, The Shadows, The Ventures, Chubby Checker, BB King, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, even Liberace. Then the 90’s came, I was back in college after my discharge in the army and got to experience “grunge rock”. One can say and of course safely assume that out of us siblings my taste in music would be quite eclectic thanks fo their influences. And I really thank them.

This song just popped up into my head recently after so many decades when it became popular. I love this song and its paving me to come here to tune in, listen and made me recall all the wonderful years when this song became a hit. It automatically helped me remember my youngest brother, Lito who passed away Sept. 15, 2018. I miss him every day. and love him so much!!!

Yes, Raquel this song is indeed a "Time machine", I was in my "Highschool" when this beautiful song is a big hit in the "FM Radio Stations" when "Transistor Radio's" that time, is equivalent to "Smartphones" . I remember my highschool life and lovelife when listening this song, and remembering too those beautiful classmates that as beautiful as you, which (regrettably) I just let them passthrough in my life. School dismissed kasi may bagyo, instead of going home i went with my classmates sa Quad and i bought this record (45) kasi it was my payborate! hahaha.... Hang-out sa Karpark to play videos then around 5pm Dad picked us up sa Quad and went home. It was a great day!

QUAD MAKATI exists already in the 70's before Glorieta Park. I'm from Guadalupe, Makati and used to hitch-a-ride from Guadalupe to Quiapo on my Uncle's Bus. He owns 4 Buses back then that travelled that route daily.
