Thank you! This seems amazingly useful, but I'm still struggling with how I can now create 2D TOP textures to apply to the UV map and make. a seamless texture on the sphere. Any tips?

Thanks for this. I was having fun until mac os and gpu said no deal (not supported on mac os & gpu wouldn't mind but it's a 4k machine!).

why do this if the render top has a uv unwrap option...

thanks for the tip, didn't know render had that option! from testing just now, it seems like we'd still need to do the transform*2 offset comp thing to get around the seam issue, but this bypasses needing to write any glsl.
