This personal project is based on the teachings of Eckankar, The Path of Spiritual Freedom. This is not an official Eckankar video.
“The road to God is often pitted with loneliness and confusion. Time and patience, though assure us that we are divine love’s own children, for we learn that spiritual help is always there for the asking.
“Many years ago, Nancy locked herself in the bathroom with the intention of taking her life. So this youth swallowed an overdose of sleeping pills. She studied her face in the mirror, looking for signs of approaching death. Then, her vision blurred. And gazing back at her in the mirror was the face of a handsome man with blond hair and very blue eyes. Tears welled in them. A single tear fell on his cheek, and with that tear, she sensed a mighty flow of love.
“’No,’ he said. ‘it’s not right to do this.’
“His sudden appearance jarred her to her senses. She bolted from the bathroom, confessed to her parents what she’d done, and they rushed her to the hospital before harm could be done.
“Years later, she recognized her benefactor as the esteemed ECK Master Gopal Das.
“His gaze of love in the mirror had let her glimpse an unknown realm of love and infinite compassion. Had she known of it, she would never have risked her precious life. He inspired her to live.
“And so, Nancy learned about the healing power of divine love.”
