First, I thank God for leading me to watch this sermon today. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, has been someone I have wondered about; why God never gave him any type of recognition in the Word. I assumed it was because Joseph's role was insignificant in God's plans. I thank God for teaching me through you today that my assumption was completely incorrect. His role was very important in God's plans, as you have taught today. I have learned through listening to teachers from Jews for Jesus that we have difficulty in learning the Bible because we don't understand the customs of that time period. Thank you for your message and for opening my eyes to the truth of Joseph's life.

One of the things to remember about Joseph is his family heritage. Looking at the genealogy of Matthew 1, he has an impressive family line: Josiah (really godly king) and Zerobobel (led the construction of the second temple). The ones after that, I don't know much about. You have to believe some of the characteristics of these men likely were passed down generationally through child raising. This means that if all we had was his genealogy, the probability of him being an awesome dude is pretty high.

I failed. I fell on my knees and repented but I still failed

I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Never tire of asking for forgiveness. Also, I don't know what areas you fail in, but you may need some other godly ladies in your life to be accountability partners. I'll pray for you right now that the Lord sends godly ladies into your life.
