Wonderful reaction as always! Everything is always better with a dash of Morissette! With regard to 'closing of the eyes'....it depends on the situation. If you are singing in front of an audience...then eyes open. That said...closing of the eyes definitely centers the artist and allows them to focus on the song and the Wish Bus is definitely about the song and not the performance. Many singers will close their eyes at the start of the song to ground them in the moment....then as the song evolves they will open their eyes to tell the story.

I have seen fancams of this Wish Bus performance (Morissette performed Wishing Well also on the same evening) from all sorts of angles and even what seems to be snippets of the livestream they might have in the Philippines. The performers are actually interviewed by the Wish Bus VJs before and after they sing. We don't see that the VJs stay in the room during performances. Now Morissette is clearly on best terms with the female VJs of the bus, probably not just because she is a veteran but also because she was once a VJ herself. Secret Love Song was what she sang when signing off a Wish Bus show, and it just happened to go viral, making her and the Wish Bus internationally known. Morissette also went out of the bus to meet her waiting fans. Even after all these years, she still loves being around her fans, no trace of the conceit some accuse her of. Morissette mentioned in the recent Wish Bus interview that the easy listening type of music like Wishing Well and Ang Paghuwat is actually the kind of stuff she likes to listen to privately. So it isn't just vocal health. It's also about her now doing what she really wants to do as an artist.

Mori is so unique in that she smiles when she sings and it just elevates the music even more!!! So love her! Also she is the perfect duet partner as she allows her partner to shine and at same time always shining as always, never overpowering just right!

To be honest, with that lineup...Morissette will probably only sing a few songs and a few duets. I saw her in L.A. with 2 other singers and that was the setup....Vegas has a larger lineup.

They are singing a Cebuano song which is the dialect of Morissette and Ferdinand. She's originally from Cebu. One of the island provinces in the Philippines. Singing this song for the whole world to listen to and appreciate is no mean feat for these two great singers. More of this please.

Hi Ryan and Cindy,nice to have Mori back. Ferdinand wrote this for his friend's wedding with a couple of verses and then added the additional lyrics so Mori could duet with him. The Cozy Cove consists of that live stage area and the recording studio in the lyric video. I love this chilled version of Mori,so that she can preserve her voice. Hello, Ryan and Cindy. So glad to see you reacting to Morissette and Ferdinand performing "Ang Paghuwat" (The Waiting) live, both in Cozy Cove and in the Wish Bus. 🥰👍👍 In the interview by the Wish lady DJ on that session, Ferdinand said he wrote the song for the wedding of a friend a while back, it was in Cebuano language (also known as Bisaya or Visaya) from where he and Mori hails from. Then, if I am not mistaken, Mori and her team reached out to him for a song and he presented this one, they completed the song for a collab duet, and here it is. As we've seen in the lyric video (which also showed clips of the creative process and studio production) that you reacted to previously, Mori instantly fell in love with the song. No crazy belting or vocal acrobatics, just a soothing, chill, relaxing song with their beautiful voices. Mori actually uploaded a video showing clips from her and Dave's wedding with "Ang Paghuwat" as the background music. You may wanna watch it together on your spare time. 🥰 As to closing of the eyes during singing, I think it's the artist internalizing the song, being in the moment, and, I agree with you Ryan, the singer can hear himself or herself better, without the distractions, especially for an intimate song like this, so that the outcome is much more polished and beautiful. 🥰 Mori also performed her latest single "Wishing Well" on this same Wish Bus session, please check it out, and, if it's okay with you, react to it together with the visualizer she posted on her channel showing her in their recent trip to Japan. If an artist closes their eyes occasionally to invoke emotion or to emphasize an important moment of the song, then I don’t mind so much. I don’t like when artists close their eyes the entire performance. It takes away from the engagement I have for the performance. Morissette has been closing her eyes a lot with her recent Wishbus performances.

Songs that not sung in English I generally shy away from except maybe Spanish (Felice Navidad) or Hawaiian! However, my 1st venture into Tagalog was Morissette's Akin Ka Na Lang; now this song has a nice gentle melody and the lyrics compliments the melody softness (this song almost sounds Hawaiian - imo). Now leaving the Morissette train; you have only done 1 Lara Fabian song roughly a year ago! Lara's PBS concert filmed in Montreal: "From Lara with Love 2000" when she was 30 - every song is worthy of a reaction. Another artist you might want to add to your reaction line-up is Lucy Thomas 20 from England; she has quite a few covers some she sing with her younger sister Martha.
