To answer the question you posed at the beginning of the video regarding reaction length, for me personally 1h+ long videos are totally fine, but I can see how for others that would be overwhelming and if that is the case then I would recommend splitting it up into two in a somewhat clever way. What you do is you make the lyric video + live reaction into one shorter standard length video and the history into a separate one which you can either upload normally as is or you can leave it unlisted and just put a link to it in the song reactions description (you can also put the unlisted video link on patreon as its own post). This way the people who want to only see your reaction to the song will get that in a nice compact manner, those who want to watch the history part can do so without "getting in the way" of anyone else and everyone is happy hopefully. Also with great animation studios come great Spiderman movies ;)

No need to worry. I am a guy. Although, if I were a gal, I would still be fine being generalized under the grouping statement "you guys" and other similar expressions. Also, no need to give me credit every time. For Sabatons older songs it is typical that Joakim is singing really and unnaturally low. With every year and every album released he set his voice a little higher. He finally reached his ideal tone somewhere about 2012-2014. It is also noticable that he naturally sings lower in sweedish than in english.

One thing I like about sabaton is the guitar solos, they're really catchy but also don't overstay their welcome, some bands have like 10 minute guitar solos and it drags like hell but sabatons are just right imo, being like 1 min or so max

To answer your question two parts sounds nice to me, I have no problem to watch the actual deep dive but two or even three Sabaton history in only one reaction feel a lot, I don't know if it's just this time but it isn't as enjoyable, it just seems to much. I love theese long deep dive reactions when you have someone with a bit of knowledge and passion presenting them. I can totally relate to some people thinking it is far too long. Maybe if you would make the whole video and cut it up with timestamps so people can choose what they want to watch, just an idea. One thing I really like is when a reactor can say that they actually didn´t like this particular song or topic or whatever. You check all those boxes and that is why I stand to te bitter end at your videos all the way to Xanadu. And by the way I loved the song Xanadu with Olivia Newton-John. Yeah, that's true. It's like the history episodes for the songs on the Carolus Rex album: it's only "necessary" to watch the history episodes connected to each song, not the Swedish History Trilogy. The Swedish History Trilogy is only there for context and to fill in the gaps between the songs on the album.

Most of the Sabaton History episodes = the pt2 isn't required (Uprising, Attack Of The Dead Men etc) . It's other similar stories on that topic but isn't connected to the actual song. The only 1 which all parts are required viewing is Soldier of 3 Armies. Each episode covers his time in 1 of the 3 armies he served.

So as regards Soldier Of 3 Armies, its up to you how you feel it is best to tackle it. Whether you do it as 1 big long video or split it up into 2 or 3 videos, I'm not sure what works best for KZbin algorithms etc. It's an amazing story though. And don't feel bad about not liking certain songs as much as others etc, Sabaton are a pretty unique band in that there is the music and then there is also the story. Some of my favourite songs of theirs music wise aren't the best stories lyrically and some songs with the most amazing lyrics and stories are not my favourites music wise 🤷‍♂️. Apologies for the long post but hey its still not as long as Spiderverse or Xanadu 😉

The song is slightly punk rockish and I like punkrock, it just doesn't feel very Sabatony, maybe that's why I'm on the fence about this one. What really carries the song, imho, is Joakim's vocals and the more than decent lyrics and, as always, kudos to Sabaton for experimenting with different styles. That being said, it'll never make it onto my Top 10 list (which, incidentally, consists of 20 songs and is a never-ending work in progress, why I gave myself that impossible task is beyond me...). As for the format: whatever is most comfortable for you is ultimately what we'll support, of course, but I must say, I really liked the way you handled this one. If I'm pressed for time, I just pause it and come back to it later, but I understand that too long a video may be an issue for others. ⠀ One thing you could do is to use this format, but in two videos: Part 1 would consist of the MV or Lyrics Video Reaction +Sabaton History pt 1 and then Part 2 of your reaction could include the Live Video Reaction +Sabaton History pt 2 and 3. Unfortunately they weren't allowed to join the victory parades as it was deemed it would upset the Soviet Union who at this time started propping up communist puppets. In many cases these exiled heroes would end up around the Commonwealth. My stepfather grew up in a street full of Poles in the 50s who were all veterans (in Australia)

When it comes to the longer reactions, I love your deep dives so I will probably be watching them however you do them, but when they are getting closer to an hour, they will need som planning to squeeze in.. So it's probably better to divide them somehow, while it will not make it a Spiderverse, maybe not even a Xanadu, it will make them easier to handle. If there are 2 history videos, perhaps do lyric + history part 1 as your part 1 and live + history part 2 as your part two? And I completely agree with you on (some of) their older songs, they have gotten way better on writing over the years. It feels like back then, they just wrote standard power metal with war related lyrics on top. Nowadays they always plan it much better, matching the music and production with the lyrics to produce a much more coherent package. And Joakim have become a way better singer also. :)

In my opinion in to the spider verse was garbage. I hate multiverse stuff unless it is done well. Spider verse was about Spider man not all the heroes of new york therefor it was at best 40% good. Never seen Zanadu.

The song is mainly about Polish 302 and 303 Squadrons and also of 310 Czechoslovakian Squadron (Polish 303 Squadron had a Czech pilot Frantisek, who was considered a "guest" of the squadron). The 303 Squadron had the highest number of kills in Battle of Britain (126) and and the highest kill to loss ratio. This was because the Polish pilots had a lot more training and combat experience than the British pilots. Also, Polish tactics were superior to these of the RAF tactics, which were deeply flawed and outdated. Recently, some revisionists were trying to diminish the role of the foreign pilots in BoB, but were mostly ignored (thank God). The contributions of the Polish Pilots were mentioned on the movie "Battle of Britain (with the famous "Polish sequence") and the recent Movie Hurricane (here is the trailer - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYrGn5qhZpiZqKs)

6:30 I can't be the only one who is not bothered by sabaton not rhyming their lyrics in their older songs because they can tell the story a lot better that way? If you have to rhyme everything you have much much fewer options in what words you can use and it ends up getting repetitive easily. I can see this happening in their newer songs and it makes me a bit sad. I'd much rather hear about the facts, the numbers, the people and the places of the battles rather than a few adjectives that rhyme.

Yes, their rhyming scheme does lack a bit in these old songs... this one is (atleast) 12 years old. I think they tried to put too much detail in the lyrics back then, sometimes, like with Wolfpack, it kind-of worked tho. Edit: ... I think it's mostly the "Battle of Brittain" part that mess it up for me.

Spider-Man did have a kind of convoluted version of the "great power“ quote when he was talking to Tony Stark in CA:CW - ”When you can do the things that I can, but you don’t, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.” and honestly, that hits harder than the pared-down platitude everyone knows and quotes incessantly. I like the way you put another version of the song between the history videos. That may be the key to these epic-length reactions, and a good way to split them up if you feel they run too long. I can watch/listen through a whole reaction in one shot, but I know some people don't have that kind of attention span. Never watched Into the Spider-Verse but want to sometime and never heard of Xanadu until now and I'll check it out.
