16:00 She started really from humble beginnings. Very admirable her strength is. She said she and her mom used to eat just rice with soy sauce. To have money to live, she would join singing contests. She auditioned in X Factor and The Voice, both fails. She said she teared up and almost quit. She got her first break in another local TV singing contest where she got in the semis. While she did not win top prize, the prize she got was used not to buy a smartphone or car but to pay existing debts. She lives together with the band, and 2 other team members and her mom who is Stage 2 on breast cancer. The studio you see is the former garage of their music director.

Cyndi is very keen and perceptive! Indeed, Gigi came in late in Unholy bec the pace of the drummer was faster than she was expecting. Btw, Gigi and the band (GG Vibes) do this livestreams for 2hrs or so, performing a lot of the songs on-the-spot based on their viewers' requests. As you can see in Unholy, she signals the band every now and then (to keep the pace, quiet down, etc.) and everyone adjusts accordingly as they go along. The keyboardist is also the musical director so he also gives Gigi and the band signals at times.

So you're right, the back up vocals during Through the Fire was soft. This is an older video, about 2 yrs ago. They were playing in a small garage. At that time, they were just starting to get popular. The newer videos in the past few months (after they become popular) you'll notice they are in a different place and are playing in Gigi's new house/studio with a better sound system.

Actually the whole performance (each 3 songs) were they did was per Live Streaming requests from the viewers present on that very moment... so it's impromptu, no second take plus live... no rehearsals... it wasn't their choice... actually some reactors nowadays were watching them live just to give their request song for the night for them to play.❤
