Great to see the Dad Daughter dynamic. That little Jimny is a weapon. Long range tank a must. Many good family memories being built here. Go well.

I'm wondering if it's possible to incorporate something like the fridge slide that drops down for the jerry can on the back of the Suzuki to make it easier to reach

You need a 12 volt Fuel Transfer Pump to save trying to lift out the 20 Lt Jerry cans.

Wouldn't that be nice, eh?! Thanks for the suggestion!

Love bustalime what a beast, serious question Ruben, what turns more heads a dmw chopped 200 series, or the chopped jimny?
@dirtymuddyweekends7 ай бұрын
Each vehicle definitely has its own charm and advantages, but we believe Reuben's heart lies more with the LC200 series. After all, who wouldn't want to experience those "Reuben revs" in a beefy DMW chopped 200 cruiser? 🚗:)

Probably best lesson for anyone driving a new car, brand new, 2nd hand, 4x4 or not what you're range is at 0. $15 and 20l of fuel is a proper lesson. 👌
@dirtymuddyweekends7 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Running out of fuel is a tough lesson to learn, but it's a valuable one. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on your fuel gauge and plan your refueling stops accordingly. A small investment in fuel can save you a lot of hassle and inconvenience in the long run. Thanks for watching!

Ruben, I'm so curious as to why you placed the fuel filler and what appears to be water filler soo high up on the canopy. Obviously its still utilising the standard fuel tank, chassis mounted, why soo high? If it was lower, you'd be able to gravity feed fuel from jerry cans in, saving Hanna any heavy lifting for transfer/refueling. In my time, even I found that initially holding a full 20L jerry can up to a standard hieght car fill point difficult enough, soo good as the load lightened during transfer. My wife would have zero chance of doing it. I cheat now days, 10L are so much lighter, haha.

It's a developing project, it could still change. Who knows what Hannah's planning for Busta. ;) But all great idea mate. Cheers!

Back in 2019, we drove through the base of the Copeton dam. Had a great time looking around and even seen the dam wall at ground level. It was a day of mixed emotions. Driving something we probably won't be able to do again. But at the same time, the water levels were at less than 5% 😢.

Exploring the Copeton Dam sounds like quite an adventure, It must have been a memorable experience to see the dam wall up close like that.

Love the fun family dynamic, enjoy being able to get the better of them while you still can, my lot are a older and love to turn the tide on me. Think Buster needs more power, the way it was constantly searching for a gear or an engine swap. Being of the vertically challenged club Ruben, you may need to rethink the rear design for the jerry holders and spare wheel, because your girl is your height and having trouble, you don't want her to do herself an injury when the time comes she goes off on herself. Some years of travel experience gone into putting that 100 series together, cracking vehicle. Great vid, keep the fun comming, all the best from UK 👍
@aerynlovell47547 ай бұрын
When I saw her struggling to get the Jerry can up there, I thought Reuben would either need to design a track to lower the rack with a manual hand cranked winch or a step of some kind. Maybe something like a fold out aluminum work platform.
@dirtymuddyweekends7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! It's always fun to see the family in action, isn't it? And you make a good point about Busta needing a bit more power and considering the design for accessibility for Hannah's height. Thus the importance of a long range fuel tank. Glad you enjoyed the video, and sending best wishes from down under to the UK!

@jo_clarke1960 I saw a show where 3 men were struggling to put a spare on the back of a lifted Jeep. Back in the old days, tires were skinny, smaller diameter, and much lighter than modern tires.
