Hey you two, I've been a casual observer of your channel for years. Usually I'm not a big youtube "commenter", but I wanted to encourage you both as parents. I started watching this Q&A because my husband and I are pregnant and expecting our miracle this year and I was curious about your thoughts after having your baby for a few months. It is really encouraging to hear your answers to the parenting related questions, it has given me a lot of peace that I believe is coming from The Lord through your testimony. This was honestly such a refreshing video. A great balance of honest feelings, but so much encouragement. I love what Chad said about managing expectations and being realistic so that you can be in a more positive emotional space and what Tori said about learning to be ok with changing your mind on what you said you wouldn’t do before you became a mom. As a wife and mom of two, The Lord has helped me so much in raising my kids. I would NOT want to do this without Him. ❤

Oof how Chad answered that first question about fatherhood!! Ugh how I wish I could go back in time and give my husband more grace those first few weeks of sleepless nights with a newborn. I don’t think I really processed the fact that I was already bonded with our baby and loved her so deeply… while my husband was really just getting to know her and grow his love for her once she was born. It was hard not to get frustrated at HIS frustration at the time, but I see it in a different light now!

I can't count how many times I cried before ultrasounds. It's so hard to not be able to see and comfort your baby when they aren't in your arms. Pregnancy is so amazing and so emotionally intense.

Wow, as you were talking about the sound mind being our inheritence i got chills all over my body!.. I have been struggling with anxiety because i have lost 1 year of uni and i am trying to catch up this year, so i get a lot of anxiety attacks where my thoughts are just lies that i dont have the time to finish everything that i must finish for my uni, and that i am a failure.... so i think that the lord really wants me to step into this spiritual reality that i ALREADY have a sound mind spiritually and i shouldn't allow the enemy to steal my peace... thank you so much for being open and honest!! i pray the lord blesses you with protection over you and your beautiful child in Jesus' mighty name!!

Sleep training never worked for my daughter … ever…. And I tried it alllll. Moms on Call, individual sleep trainer that I hired, & lots of other techniques… I did my own method and that didn’t work either 😂

Sleep training in the extreme sense isn't usually necessary. Think routine rather than strict schedule, if that makes sense. When our youngest was 2 months we had to start waking him up by a certain time so he could have a bedtime. We established a routine with him. We didn't let him nap past 3pm and tried to keep him awake until 6 or 7pm if he could make it. We would wake him at 7 or 8am and he had two 2 hour naps and maybe 1 one hour nap if he needed it. That just depends on him and your schedule. But that's the jist of it. Just wanted to share in case it helps. I wish someone had told me. With our older 2, they woke on their own and so it was a shock when we had to wake up our 3rd from a nap.

It's not easy. As far as getting to know your baby/kid they are learning who they are as well. So don't feel bad if possible. Chad can also try holding him with one of Tori's shirts over his shoulder or chest. The familiar smell of Mom may calm him too. And don't forget the gas relief tricks. The bicycles and other positions to help burp him. You guys are doing an amazing job!!

Boy, Chad is on the nosey about the economy! Had to completely change our business plan for opening our new business because of it, but God will get us through it, especially when we have a community to support us. (Yes, she used "exacerbated" exactly right!) Tori is absolutely right -- babies are individuals. Things like sleep training WILL happen, but I can guarantee your process will be different than anyone else's experience. The good news is that it WILL happen! 🙂And hey! Show us the new car!!

I’m a new mama myself to a 3mo old and one of the hardest things to adjust to was how disconnected I felt with my husband those first 2 months and grieving the season where it was just the two of us. But I love what Chad said about how it’s okay to grieve those things and it just looks different now but in the best way. Can’t wait to hear about the home birth story!! But totally understand that you need some time to process it. For me it went from planning to do vaginal to emergency c section 😢😣 We planned to not have any more kids after the first. believe it or not, aiden LOVED his paci so sooo much and i was terrified for the day that i had to take it away from him. i ended up taking it from him during the day probably at age 2 and then took it from him at night a little later, and the first night, he cried a bit before falling asleep, but he stayed asleep basically the entire night and then the next night, it was like it never happened. and now when he sees pictures of him with his paci, he asks me what it is 🤣

Angel Studios is a mormon company. Would you mind speaking to whether or not you are mormon or not and why you have chosen to partner with them? Hi, such a good video and encouragement. I really liked The Chosen especually the first seson. Then I saw a video from a facebook friend sharing this link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b32sZWtqot6qfrc I usually don't like all this "exposing" videos where people expose other chanals. I mean it dosen't do any good spreading this typs of videos. But I kind of reacted to some stuff in the latest seris. For example that they paint a picture of Jesus praktesing what to preatch while he is God. It's maybe just I that reacted on that but anyways. So this video that I linked is just a heads up. I love how The Chosen brings fort the diffrens in the characters/ desiples and ads on other ligth to it all. Sooo... just a friendly litle hint to be aware of while watching.
