Tough Rotaries at buznats 2022

In my 40’s and hadn’t owned a rotary for 20 years now. Owned 2 rx2’s 2 rx4’s and 3 rx3’s. The maddest one I had was the rx3 four door which I bought from Victoria and drove back to Adelaide. This was a 12a large extend port with garret turbo and motech injection. Race seats, harness, no carpet, checkered plate in front, full roll cage. Was Porsche white. Seam welded show car. Back then there was no bridge port turbo, only large extend ports and this shows my age 😁. The number plate was RXGONE. Good days. I love and appreciate these video’s. Good job Ash.

I was standing just past half track against the back fence. Had the best view of the whole incident. I'm soo glad both drivers weren't seriously injured (bar a few broken ribs and a punctured lung etc) It was a big big hit. Shows Just how good the safety equipment is. Two really awesome cars destroyed.😔

Ash, Your videos are getting better and better. Did you buy a different microphone? The rotary sounds are way more apparent on this video. Feels like I am there. I like that you interviewed many enthusiasts and shared video clips of their individual builds. I stay glued on this video watching every second. I love rotaries since I was 15. Still have the RX-2 that I bought at that age. It’s been painted six times lol. It has a fresh build but man nothing like what I see at this event!!! Thanks for another great video . Can’t wait for the next and will probably watch this one three more times at least haha. Rob in California

Raced a series 1 RX 7 about 25 years ago pretty much stock 12A engine and a open diff , stripped interior added a roll cage and race seat 5 point harness, got a few wins in clubman racing against some v8 commies you had to drive the pants off it 😊my mate rallied a Ford escort with 13b rotary power and I crewed for him , we had a spectator come over to us at a service park and tell us our rally car was “ The Escort from Hell” 😅
