Tough Winter Feeder Fishing Session!
The difficult winter fishing of 2023-2024 continues. With the heavy rain and freezing inconsistent temperatures this years winter fishing has been another level tough.
In this session I set out to film a feeder fishing for roach video , it just didn't pan out that way. Hopefully you still pick up some tips and info from the session the methods and techniques are sound.

Best experience in 2023 was catching my first Grass Carp. It was from a river, 4.8kg. It's the bigest fish I ever caught, it's only my second year fishing. Hopefully I can break the record in 2024.

So even though ive caught pb bream/ mirror carp/ common carp (29lb), tench and barbel making it a great years fishing, I still think bumping into fellow westy subscriber nick brown and enjoying his company on trips all over the northwest has been my highlight of the 2023 season, just cant beat having a new angling buddy . Best angling experience of 2023 arrived at one of my club waters 5-30 am full of decent tench and bream caught every cast till around 11am

Best experience of 2023 - staying overnight and doing some night fishing at a local lakes close by. My wifey caught her first tench and when taking a photo the tenchs eye was red! Looked evil!

Winter fishing is never easy, a Terry Wogan is hard to take 😢. Keep at it you'll find a water stuffed with winter fish 😁. Glad to see your dad is feeling better and back out on the banks with ya . If your gonna blank, it's better to blank with a friend or relative hahaha. Keep at pal 😂😂 tight lines

Another great video mate, you've done a great job over winter keeping us all enthused while in the comfort of our arm chairs 😂 My best experience of 2023 was the first time back after three years of not fishing. Fishing was mine and dad's thing but he is no longer with us, so I just couldn't go without him. My dad was infamous for falling in the water everywhere he fished. Well in true form my first return to fishing I took some of his ashes with me and they were on my tray alongside me. I knocked the table and yep he fell in 😂😂😂 got him back and luckily his ashes was in a sealed bag inside the container so no harm done 😂😂😂

i went to one of our lakes that held crucian carp ive never ever seen one before ive caught carp to 14lb pike 15lb catcching 10oz crucians made my season had to fish swim feeder as it was so deep cant wait for the summer keep up the good work

This winter has been harsh buddy, loving the way you show/tell it as it is (many wouldn't) good to see you back out Paul and on the mend 💪Rivington is calling Matt 👍 😀 😉 My most memorable moment from last year has to be the 8 and half pound F1 I caught, not the biggest but one of the most enjoyable 🎣🐟

Every day out is good, I love my time & yes I have my own PB. I honestly cant tell you about the one best day, but one day I was on a lake with my grandson Jude his 1st day fishing with me, he caught a 15lb I was so excited for him I jumped up & my brand new iphone that I got the day before fell out my lap & into the very deep lake we was fishing, I was not happy. £900 never to be found. That not the end of it, I was so fed up I just put me rod down on the bank to help him & a big fish took my rod into the lake, never to be seen again. I look back now, just got to laugh. Otherwise I could of cried. Enjoy even if you blank, your out with dad.

Another good fun video to eatch Getting a blank is not.uncommon at all. I have had a gew myself this winter. However, i have also had some very productive session in an awesome set of trips but the best experience angling wise was a suprise 50 plus fish at my Rochdale club water Healey Dell on maggots under float after a bitterly cold morning facing a blank. It just turned on .. MARVELLOUS 😎

Beat experience from 2023 was catching my first double figure carp so I could finally tick it off my bucket list. Caught it at Holmston Hall nr Chester on a 15mm tutti fruiti boillie and weighed 14lb 8oz!! A Catfish is my target fish for 2024 and hopefully I’ll be able to tick that off too.

Best fishing experience of 2023 was spotting a specific fish cruising around in the summer and stalking in the margins with a little sweetcorn before catching him... Had to be so quiet and patient with that adrenaline pumping...!

Where did you get your wellys from westy? 😂 I was looking at some furry lined ones but probably a bit much for fishing lol, my favourite fishing memory of 2023 was fishing the severn with my uncle for barbel and chub in August, both our first times fishing the severn and catching barbel it was awesome, we stayed at the unicorn inn in Hampton near bridgenorth fishing by the camp site wasnt all that but we had a really good day at the ship inn near Highley a few miles south of the unicorn inn on our last day baging 6 barbel all over 8lb and a few chub between us 🎣

There’s a little pond over to the left hand side of Papa West. I had 19 of the biggest Roach of my year out of there on 11/09/23 along with 8 good carp. Then moved back on to the larger lodge you and Papa West on and nearly lost the rod I managed to catch the butt of the rod but snapped the line, then next cast landed an 11.55 lb Mirror Carp 3rd biggest carp of my amazing 2023. 4 carp up to 11.88 lb and a grand total of 588 Carp for 2023 “catch of a life time”. After full knee replacement surgery in late December 2022. I’m now ready to hit the bank and try to nail some carp. #smudgeronthebank 😉🎣🪱 Liked, commented, shared & only had 1 blank in the year.
