Yachie and her teamed up to trick everyone into thinking Son Biten was the second coming of Son Wukong / Son Goku from Journey to the West. Iconic. Her design is great, and I love how it takes inspiration off Nemuno's design since she was literally raised in the Yamabas' sanctuary land. The theme also is quite nice, and I like the vocal ehru sounds used in it a lot, which ties the theme together really well.

​@@ElectricNoxas far as I've just gathered, Son biten has been living on youkai Mountain too, and apparently on the rather secluded Yamanba (speak: Nemuno's species) territory. So they probably either had some contact directly, or at least other Yamanbas had an influence on her. That said, perhaps there is more in some dialogues, but they aren't all translated yet, to my knowledge.

This brings me an interesting theory, either the sanctuary land she's raised in belongs to Nemuno (which makes Biten Nemuno's adoptive child in a sense lol), OR, all Yamanba dress just like this.

Her story is, she was originally part of the monkey yokai in Yokai Mountain, but was kicked out by the other monkeys (likely for being a fucking menace), where she inhabited Yamanba lands. She then ate a Yamanba, and because of funky evil spirit/yokai nonsense, was at risk of falling to Hell because of it. Zanmu interfered and introduced her to Yachie, who had her join her gang instead. I highly doubt she was raised by Nemuno, as she was already fully grown by then.

But in Touhou "phantoms" can come from many things, so it's not impossible that the said 'phantoms' are of the Yamanba (just to be clear that she didn't go rip some poor Yamanba's spleen out and ate it like ribeye steak lol)

It's the tubes of the Kuda-Gistune, an evil spirit talking to you for riches then bringing you to your fatal misery and ruin, it's their "home" more or less. Tsukasa is one of them and it seems there is others ones (I think in the dialogue when you play her, she discover one of her kin in the big tube). Since Yachie gaslit'ed Son, she is probably the one giving her this tube-rod with the intention of keeping an eye on her, the spirit can give the holder power and be the messager for Yachie.That's my guess. And we can say that the size of the tube is synonymous of the power given. I think it does makes sense. Another thing, we can see Tsukasa with differents flasks on 3 typical colors : if you look closely, it's the animal spirits into it. While every protagonists got a new spirit into them, for Tsukasa it's the ability to hoard them. She is a yokai-spirit herself, so she know how to put a spirit into a new tube.(?). She could be the one preparing the big tube for Son., on the order of Yachie. Idk Chiyari (the t-shirt gal chilling near the blood rivers) got the genetic sequence on her shirt , vials and syringes. Her title in game is "Monster of Tainted Organic Material". A very interesting detail I heard but not true if it's right IRL : mutations (of anything alive) happens more often in a blood environnment. It could explain the pool of bloods. It seems, there is a "illegal bio-science experiments" as the background theme? It goes well with the animals fights too.
