Tokyo is often referred to as the world's largest metropolitan area, and Shinjuku Station, home to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, ranks number one in the world with 3.5 million daily users. But did you know that despite being such a massive city, Tokyo actually has very few public trash bins?
What do you think the reason for this is?
In this article, we'll explore why there are so few trash bins in Tokyo and how Japanese people adapt to this situation.
(This episode is geared towards intermediate learners, so I will be speaking a lot in English for the benefit of beginners. Thank you for your understanding!)
