What you cooked on the hearth my Mom would call that farmers breakfast. She was from Turkey hollow, the outskirts of Reading. And I don't know if you ever heard of Professor Schnitzel, he was a Pa Dutch comedian. And he was her neighbor. He was awesome.

Paula, this is where they live and they have open houses a few times a year. They have a booth in Paradise Village Antiques, Paradise, Pa. I can only dream of living in a 1740 log cabin! There's so much history in that area of our state!

@@1824walkerfarmhouse I know. I went to Moravian College in Bethlehem. 3rd or 4th oldest college in US. Founded in 1742. There were actually catacombs underneath one of the buildings. Buildings were just beautiful old stone structures. I think that was when and where I was bitten by the antique bug!

Her home is located in Eastern Pa. It's only open for special events. Their business name is Fences and Hedgerows. They have a booth area in Paradise Antique Mall in Paradise, Pa. Thanks for watching and following along!

No, I didn't string them to dry. We used to have a shop and I sold them loose not strung up. I'd like to make a garland with them incorporated. I put a towel in the bay window with a huge cooling rack and dry the pears on that. We have never gotten any fruit flys. I do a lot of drying in that window, we get the morning sun there.
