Last year I took a trip to Tucson, AZ to see a number of botanical gardens, plant shops and houseplant home tours, but due to some audio issues on some of the videos that I had filmed, I didn't get around to editing everything. This was one of those videos! So let's now take the time to explore a xeric pollinator garden-for bats, bees, butterflies and moths, hummingbirds and even flies at the ‪@desertmuseum‬.

I very much appreciate the emphasis you place on insect food sources and that people have really started to recognize the difference between native pollinators and European honeybees.

Even in Europe there is too much emphasis on the domesticated honeybee.

The dessert is such an intriguing and beautiful biome. I wish I once will get the opportunity to visit one. It’s so diametrically different from what I’m used to here in Sweden 😄

8:24 Genetic diversity is all well and good but I think you are missing the point of flowers which is to get pollinated! not feed the hummingbirds and whatnot. Resources permitting they want to bloom when the majority of their species is blooming, in a way more sex is more genetic diversity.
