Wonderful photos, Derek, and I'm sure the tapestry wall-hangings looked even better than when I actually saw them years ago. You did supremely well in keeping people out of the scenes, as I'm sure it would have been busy there in September.

I did take one shot with people which I was planning to put in the programme but I thought it would spoil the illusion. Next week Lee Valley from Hertford to Waltham Abbey, Hunstanton over Christmas.

It is the Astronomical Clock, dated 1540 and installed by Henry VIII. If you go to Hampton Court Palace the guide book will tell you how it works, too detailed to mention here! Might be something online?
