Rooks doing that strong turn in the last kilometer and Fignon fading there probably saved the Tour for Lemond.

They said Lemond had no team to help him. That was often true, but it was also the case he could rely on PDM to help him, even if it wasn't their objective. If they had simply sat on, Fignon would've taken a minute at least here.

@@EMC2Scotia Agreed. But it was also said that PDM rode against Lemond because they didn't want to have yet another rider like Delgado in 88 who had left the team the year before only to win the next year.

The bikes look like my 1991 racer. Reynolds 531c frame and forks. 105 group set with sis shifting. Brake cables under the bars. Mavic MA2 rims stainless steel spokes. First look pedals.

In the second group, it was a coalition : all of them was racind a day for Pdm !! For me, this year, Lemond paid Delgado and Rooks to help him in mountain !! it's flagrant in this stage. Without them, he had lost around fourty or fifty seconds and never won the yellow jersey.

Donde iría mirando cuando ataca Fignon? Siempre habla de que a Lemond le ayudaron los holandeses aquí, pero fue solo el último kilómetro, el resto fue el haciendo el primo
