I have gout got it around 33. Gout flair ups are excruciating. The best part is I'm going to have it the rest of my life. The medication they use to control it almost killed me and tart cherry juice helps but doesn't cure it. It sucks so bad and imo is much worse than some forms of diabetes. Another bonus is you can't really get disability for it here in the States. If you don't have a supportive family to help you you pretty much end up homeless from it.

Quality mate. You get used to the GR directional signs after a while. Me and the wife play the game of spot the red and yellow signs. Sometimes they are on kerbs, on lamp posts, trees, walls and any surface available. Didn't know about Google lens. Going to Bilbao soon and that will be dead handy as can't speak Spanish. Talking of which, the bonjour sounds different depending on what part of France they are from and if they are a bloke or a woman. And finally - refuge de la shat😂😂😂😂

Fair play mate, takes some doing to have a bash at that on your own. Plus, you're really finding your way about well. Their trails are very well signposted. I could be wrong and they just got squished, but I believe the Dorito explosion is due to altitude. I only know this due to watching Kara (of Kara & Nate, travellers/vanlifers) opening cinnamon at altitude and she ended up wearing most of it because of the pressure, and it exploded in her face 🤣

Coming from Germany, I can understand the language problems in France... But the tour looks beautiful, and everyone can learn a melodic Bonjour 🙂 Great to see something different, looking forward to the next one.
