Looks amazing! When in June did you go? I'm looking to go in June but nervous about the potential snow conditions!

I went around 3rd week of June. It differs every year, so on certain years there are more snow. In my year, thankfully the snow is clearing up the week before I started. Snow wouldn't be an issue if you bring crampons or if you hike in the early morning and end by early afternoon when the snow is hard and not slippery. It is always great to try to do it a little off-peak to enjoy the trail more, all the best!

Excellent coverage of terrain and refuges! Thank you for sharing the details of your trip. I'm excited to hike this loop next Aug 2024. I was surprised to see so much snow there in June. Hi KS, are you from the little red dot? I saw your cap and figured you are. I have booked for TMB next year, though waiting for the agent to confirm all accommodations, it seems like they plan around Bonatti!

What was your total time (including stops) from La Balme to Elisabetta?

I went through Col des Four and total time was 9hrs, starting from 8am and ending at 5pm. Very tough day!
