Thank you for sharing some of the many highlights of Monte Rio and Guerneville. My Daddy lived there from the 1970's until he passed in 2016. He lived in Green Gables motor court, a house on the other side of the fence, the huge log River house on the road to Jenner, and the house right next to the old gas station and private access road to Monte Rio Beach. My children and I got to see a Santana concert in the park there. My Daddy knew a lot of people. I spent a few summers there. It's definitely changed over the years. I miss the good old days.

We almost bought a 90-year old house in Monte Vista Terrace, overlooking the Russian River and Starrett Hill Drive. The deal killer was the one lane narrow road and the staggering amount of tree maintenance needed annually. The views were incredible.
@ExploringTheWestCoast Жыл бұрын
I probably know who was selling it if they have been around for a while! Potentially it could have been the house lived in, overlooking the river. That road! I feel you! I was at the very top of it! And yes the sheer number of trees is incredible! Seeing widow makers (branches) drop like torpedoes, piecing wooden decks and car roofs, during storms gives you a whole new respect for living under them! 🤙

I'm glad you love the area! I lived in Monte Rio in the early 2000's. Managed Bartlett's & Drank at the Pink! It's a very special place! Enjoy being there! 🤙

I opened the first Natural food store Real Food Company in 1969 in Guernville . Also put on a Musical "Tapioca" at the Rio movie house. Lived on Woo's Ranch. Hippies galore!

Very cool! I lived in one of the old, Angelo's Resort Cottages in Monte Rio for several years in the late 90's. I worked at Bartlett's Market, (I think it was the bowling alley still in 1969) on the other side of the bridge from the Monte Rio Theater. I miss that place! Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video!
