Thanks. I am happy with my choice but still wish it had a walk in shower.
@Lifeisbeautiful-l5w17 күн бұрын
@@svcyclops but you have a shower, right? or it's not comfortable enough? is the size too small? I search a boat for myself, and I think that this particular model is great for operating single handed and a price is not so high (I mean in compare with others in this size). I constantly watch your videos and I'll be appreciated for your advices.

@Lifeisbeautiful-l5w I am spoiled on the shower on the last boat. This one works just fine but sump needs a small clean up before going to sea as the pump leaves behind half a liter. You can’t go wrong with this boat! What do you want to use it for?
@Lifeisbeautiful-l5w17 күн бұрын
@@svcyclops oh, half a liter is not a big problem))) i would like to sail in Mediterranean, just for fun - speed and waves, I think that this boat has not enough space for cruising around the world, but for some local trips she is perfect! do you have a sun shelter on it? I'm sorry, my English is not my native language and I learn it. My name is Eric, I'm originally from Kazakhstan. nice to meet you!

@@svcyclops I have a question about keel: you said that you chose convertible (swing) keel for docking in marinas where water level is changing with gravitation. was it only reason? in inner seas water level is constant, and normal keel is more stable on high speed and heeling, I think so because I don't have any experience. it will be my first boat)))

Cool boat for every kind of sailing fun! I read the specifications on the JPK-site! The displacement is awesome ... seems to be pretty fast and easy to maneuver! Excellent choice!
@svcyclops21 күн бұрын
I think ALL boat builders are optimistic on the displacement numbers. That being said she sails well in all of what i have encountered.

So sad to be boatless. But boat shopping is fun. Rm 1080 is a nice boat!

🤟great tour! I have a few questions about the capacity of the amenities. It looks like you have the double fuel tank? How large is the holding tank, and is there an option to expand that as well? Also I'm curious if you have a freezer included in the fridge, and if there were any options to maybe expand on fridge/freezer as an option. Thank you!
@svcyclops22 күн бұрын
I have two fuel tanks of 90 liters. If you opt for only one tank that leaves lots of space for a water maker or some other contraptions. Holding tank is not huge but not sure of size. I can’t think of how to make a bigger holding tank. No freezer in the fridge. If I were to do it again I would get just an induction cooktop and in place of the oven add a fridge / freezer. But for my sailing this has not been a problem. Just tested freeze dried food. Not so bad.

Thanks for the tour of Cyclops! Sounds like you're still loving your 39FC. I have an option on a used 39FC but also have my eye on a HR 372 which is a far more traditional yacht. If you had to choose again what would go for?
@svcyclops23 күн бұрын
My guess since I have not sailed an HR is they are good at different things. JPK more fun to sail in light air. HR an easier platform to sail. Kind of apples to oranges in terms of styling.
@svcyclops22 күн бұрын
On second thought buy the 39. You will smile while sailing.
@albertofourie329422 күн бұрын
@@svcyclops Thanks, but how does the 39 perform in heavier conditions? Slamming and/or twitchy? Either way, guess you'll probably get fairly soaked with the cockpit being so exposed!
@svcyclops22 күн бұрын
What type of sailing are you going to do. Long trips in cold weather then protection is more important. Day sails and shorter trips then foul weather gear is great. I have seen too many heavy boats with motors on in under 15 knots but ready for storm conditions. But who sails in storm conditions by choice? Most people no.
@albertofourie329422 күн бұрын
@@svcyclops I'm with you on light wind conditions and the 39 ticks that box for sure. However, we know how predictable the weather can be at the best of times so, curious to know how she behaves (or not) in rougher conditions.

Hey Jason, you guys are among the few on social media who own fast cruiser yachts. none of you got or installed a proper dodger or bimini. Can you chime in on your decision in one of your videos? curious to hear about the pros & cons, cheers from 🇨🇦
@svcyclops23 күн бұрын
Proper dodger is a tough term. I had a fully enclosed cockpit on my cruising cat. After 5 years I never wore foul weather gear. So big enclosures are great for long passages and they add a great wet room. BUT there are two costs in my mind. One is they reduce the fun of shorter sails by blocking views and creating hazards for sheets and winches. A second issue is they are anti social in anchorages/marina. The full cockpit enclosure crowd are hard to wave to and strike up a conversation. And I like those chance meetings.
@teakerne24 күн бұрын
Do you use the range finder for anchoring?
@svcyclops23 күн бұрын
You are clever. Yes. It really helps make sure I am not too close. I usually am very poor at estimating. Now I golf more in the winter I am getting better. I also use the radar to calculate distances
