Thank you very much for your kind comment , as you say a labour of Love ...I started this 7 years ago , and like you could remember model railways as a boy , so when I retired decided to build a layout in my loft , kind of got carried away , but it helps pass the long winters we have , I can escape to my loft and use my imagination on how things used to be on the railways ....I am including a lead to the layout which is more or less as it is now ..>>>> kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKCuqatqg7trZrs ...Cheers Dave

Hi Dave! Your progress is amazing; the detail that you have included is beautiful!! I am impressed with the small vegetation growing from the cracks in the arched wall and from the various small landscape vignette’s you have included throughout. The over-all effect is wonderfully life-like. A job very, very well done sir!! Dave

Hi Donald , sorry I gave wrong measurements there ...should have been just 5"from lower to upper level , have just been and done a full measurement check so will post on this next video ..but they are here for you to see ....30 ft. Long ....7ft. wide, H.from floor to first level 3ft.6"....and 2ft.10 " right had side to center with 2ft.11" on the other side and the lower to upper level is 5"..so as I say sorry for giving you wrong dimensions ...And well at 80 to start is never too late , I know N gauge will be more difficult to model , but all the very best to you with this project .....Dave

Super tour of the layout Dave! You certainly have put a lot of work into it! Loving all the signals and lights! Very clever tip for log loads! Was wondering how you made them! All your building look amazing with all the lights and people in side! They guy keeps on popping up every where! LOL! Super running clips! Tried to filmed the weathering commissions I did in action today, but all did not go well so I might give it a miss sadly. Keep up the great work as always!

You put a lot of work into your layout Dave and it has definitely been worth every bead of sweat. I wish I had your skills and the time to exercise them, but nevertheless it's been fascinating watching you. What on earth are you going to do now? Do you enjoy operating as much as building? I get the impression that many modellers don't really want their layout ever to be finished. I wouldn't be surprised if I feel that way when get that far, if I ever do!! Even now I'm thinking of starting again and I haven't even finalised the track plan!!..................David

I have been away from the computer for a bit. I have to say you have done an amazing job. The layout is fantastic. The lighting looks great. You have been a very busy man, my friend. You also managed to fit in a few weekends and side trips. Your weekend getaway looked like a perfect spot. You can't beat the old time rock and roll. There must have been a heck of a storm for the water to be that rough. The break water was taking a good beating. Your little buddy must of got his butt kicked. I can see why there was nobody there at that time. Your visit to Scarborough looked like it was a pleasant time. It looks like a nice place. I liked the little protected harbor. I have to get caught up on all my mails and messages. Sorry it took so long to respond. As always it's always a visit to pay a visit to you and Deb.

Hello there, great video! Congratulations for your excellent model railway! :D But l have a problem and l need your help...l am a beginner and l have no idea how on earth l am going to make it,but l'd really love to make a diorama of a ruined city. So, l have some questions: 1) l would like to put some lights and glowing signs, but l want them to flash and look broken.ls there a way to make a model lamp post that will look like that? 2) l really wanna add sound effects to my diorama. How can l achieve that? 3) l am going to build a church in the centre of my diorama.l want it to have stained glass windows. What material should l use to make it look as realistic as possible (bear in mind l want it to be paintable)? 4)Any ways for adding movement to my diorama? What kind of motors should l use and how can l install them and then hide them? Sorry for all these questions, but l really need some serious help from a professional, and you definitely look like one! :D Take your time,l know they are way too many to ask in a comment, but l really need them answered! P.M. me if you want! Thanks in advance! Liked and subscribed! :D :)
