@Richard Harrold But Harrys Garage is cars Harry will actually drive, Jay's garage is a museum of Bugattis and oddballs.
@rudolphbondefangerer55132 жыл бұрын
@Richard Harrold He also run a museum. Its not a personal cars I use thing. I seriously do not believe Jay would ever take a Stanley Steamer to do his weekly shopping. Also, he would not take that steamer to a holliday trip. Harry only keep cars he will use. He travels in his testarossa, he do hollidays in Italy in his Countach, a car only stays in Harrys Garage if Harry have a use for them. Note that there is no Lancia Delata HF Integrale in there, and he must love those. Why? I would guess, not usable cars. Drive one and you know why. Jay is building a museum, Harry collect cars he love.
@rudolphbondefangerer55132 жыл бұрын
@Richard Harrold Yoy dont get it do you? Harry only keeps the cars he will use, Jay cares about the historic importance of his cars, he will restore a wreck if its important. Harry dont, he would sell it, and buy a car he can use. Follow his channel, theres no car in there for no reason, and that reason is personal. Harry want, and you can disagree with him, THAT car. Its not a collection, it's Harrys cars.
@rudolphbondefangerer55132 жыл бұрын
@Richard Harrold They were both cars he cared about, HIS cars. And if you believe that the Fulvia could have been replaced with another Fulvia fully restord cheaper than this restoration... theres a bridge in Brooklyn that I own, and if you want to buy it we might make a deal...

My old man had a Z1300 when I was a little kid in a small town in south eastern Australia... It was blue with gold accents and THE coolest bike in town hands down. He was the boss at the big tannery, one of the biggest employers in town and I'll never forget him picking me up from school on the big Kwakka... Motor trade from 1980 to the present, with a couple of years farming early on……. still living in and around farming in the South East………… Harry, a man after my own heart…. 🙂 You both share a similar uncompromising love for vehicles, regardless of their monetary value…… the quirkier the better in my book……. my cars are a mishmash, Trabant, Skoda, Alfa, Volvo, G Wagon and Citroen…… trucks, IVECO, Mercedes (Unimog) and bikes, referred to as the donkey sanctuary……. my current favourite is a battered early Varadero XL1000V……. with Black Widow cans…… all the attitude of a Paris Dakar bike, but weighing the same as a Range Rover, on road tyres…… 😳 Bless you both for brightening Fathers Day even further 🥳🇬🇧

Fabulous. Thank you Jonny and thank you Harry. I know you're into EV restomods Jonny, but Harry makes a very valid point: if you're using a coal- or gas-fired grid to charge, it, where's the benefit of an EV? Making lightweight cars (and bikes) whose parts can be recycled without too much energy expenditure ought to be the priority.
@parsot2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately Harry's wrong on this though, at least in the UK. On a good day my EV emits 20gCO2/km and the average for the year is 40gCO2/km (UK average electricity mix is about 45% from gas/hydrocarbon). It replaced a 2016 Fiesta ST which produced 125gCO2/km, so even with today's every mix it's a 75% improvement. What we need is both a shift to EV and continued move towards clean electricity.
