Incredible progress. Thanks for sharing. Where on the big island is your property?

We are in the Hamakua region on the northeast part of the island. 🤙

A Ackee tree would be perfect for the climate you are in

Do you have any Figs, Peaches, or Persimmons?

We have two Brown Turkey figs along our driveway. They are very slow growing but produced their first few edible figs this year and were very good. We have two diseased peaches planted by the previous owners and as much as I would love to plant more, they are not well suited for the tropics. They get ransacked by pests and disease all year long. We have Black Sapote which is in the persimmon family and a native persimmon called “Lama” but no other persimmons. I grew a lot of figs, peaches and persimmons when I lived in Maryland but they are not the best choices for my particular location. There are some areas of the Big Island that they do very well though. 🤙
