It's been said that when one inhales from a mammoth pipe for the first time, they gain omnipotent vision over the ice age and truly understand what has happened. The problem is once they're not high anymore they immediately forget everything.

Randall Carlson has a theory called bloat and float and that explains how all those fossils got in that little area and they're actually should be many areas from Alaska through Canada that should be just like that

Can anyone think of an explanation of the density other than the animals got washed out in a flood, and either got deposited downstream or the bodies floated to the edge and got deposited at the water levels dropped? Then it froze

@@Kinzey Why is it unavailable? the trailer looks awesome. honestly this content would be getting millions of views if it were showcased properly. i dont mean to be critical because we are fortunate that you are documenting it at all, but with a little bit of effort it could be something extraordinarily valuable

Greetings Ryan, I just talked to my sister about the website and they are developing a plan for restocking merchandise. As far as jewelry, I think following iceagefossils and my sister ilauralongley on insta is a good start. Also here is her online store: ilauralongley.com/shop Cheers and take care!
@dirtmagnet94902 жыл бұрын
What explanations have you been told so far? I would think of 2 possibilities 1) A successful (large) hunting band that lived there for quite some time or 2) after extinction event a massive flood occurred washing said carcasses into that area. Very cool and interesting stuff!
@Kinzey2 жыл бұрын
More likely #2. There would be evidence of human remains if that was the case. Keep in mind the interior of Alaska was a different looking world 50k years ago and very similar to the Mongolian Steppe.
@dirtmagnet94902 жыл бұрын
@@Kinzey I thought so too but I kind of hoping it was #1. Can't see the 'Residents' dragging those large carcasses closer to camp and then butchering, not to mention how that would attract other predators to their location. Still this is some kinda find though, glad you are all doing this yourselves and bringing in 'experts' when you deem necessary. What's the largest set of tusks you have recovered? Don't want to say, thats fine too!
@Kinzey2 жыл бұрын
@@dirtmagnet9490 Thanks for the kind words. I honestly don't know what the largest set we've found. You could message my dad on insta @theboneyardalaska. He probably has that info memorized.
@Just-InTimeRepairs Жыл бұрын
I'm no expert but if it were possibility #1, I would think these bones would be split for access to the bone marrow. I also think hunters would have used more of the animals remains to make tools and weapons, rather than dumping everything. But who knows, it's all theories at this point. I certainly look forward to learning more from this treasure trove of history.

Why did a couple of the ends of bones appear to have been cut-off 😉 I know you guy’s didn’t do it , the precise cuts appear to be as old as the bones . 🤔🤔
@par0z Жыл бұрын
So cool! Are some of these still bones or are they all fossilized?
@Kinzey Жыл бұрын
Great question, these are still bones. The permafrost is a giant freezer and keeps everything from decaying, or at least slows that process down immensely. Cheers!
