I really enjoyed this history lesson thanks again for helping me know about a piece of Carriacou I didn’t really know about.

Absolutely blown away by this!!! My mother spoke of Breteche, but really (we've never paid attention) I thought it was a place from long ago which no longer exists. A million 'Thanks to Engine' and to YOU for helping us rediscover and appreciate our rich heritage and history. I look forward to coming home!

I grew up listening to my father Kemp Quashie talking about Breteche Estate and Grand Bay. He often spoke of the cotton on the land.

As he said long ago they didnt know that. Sad though. A great place for preservation and tours but there may be a challenge since it is private lands.

@@explorecarriacouandpetitem4546 Steps are being taken to continue to preserve the land for generations to come and prevent theft of historical artifacts and illegal trespass that my ancestors toiled in.
