Very nice camper. A lot of good features, and even though it's a vintage vehicle, it certainly looks nice and clearly is doing the job for you. Pleasure Way seems to make good products. This camper has all the basic things one might need... something to think about when looking at campers. You don't always need the "latest and greatest". Solid and reliable is just fine in many cases.

I was on an RV lot a few weeks ago to look at the new class B's and I have to say I don't care for them. The boat manufacturers seem to have been updating and improving their ergonomics every year, but the the class B RV guys aren't getting it.

Nice fully enclosed bath especially given the size of the Class B, for sure I was expecting an isle shower for that Unit usually that year would've had an isle shower,thanx for the Tour...

Sir, what a pretty well-made video of your home in wheels. I very much like the size and scope of what your camper is able to provide in terms of necessities, luxury and comfort features. I like this model of Dodge van and especially like that the toilet and shower are separate. I myself would love to have a set-up like yours. I like your presentation, candor of your delivery and your good-natured explanation on your camper.

I also have a old ford falcon class b campervan. I like the interior of your van better. I like the bed in the back. My bed is in the middle. Thanks for sharing.
@ScaredStupid9 жыл бұрын
Christy Cappello You're quite welcome! The problem with the bed in the back is it's limited in size by the width of the van which makes it unusable/uncomfortable for taller people.

Again, great vid. Just watched all your boat vids and left a comment. I'm looking at a 30 steel Tahiti gaff rigged ketch. I already have a class B motor home, much like yours. Mine's a 1991 Ford F 250 with a Coachmen camper. 351 V-8. Bought it two years ago and have been re-doing it. Love it, can drive around town like a regular van and easy to park. Used to have a 30 fr Class A. Never again. Thanks for the vid, enjoyed and good luck with your "B".

What an excellent and thorough tour of your wonderful camper - your camper van has everything one would need and want for living, and you have it organized and decorated very nicely - very neat, tidy, well organized, and comfortable. We love to camp, and I really appreciate the tour and the thorough and great description of the appliances, storage, solar panels, the water dumping, vents, hoses, and everything inside and out, very helpful to me and my family. Love the idea of the storage container and footrest also. This camper van is a real winner, and as my family and I get more involved in our camper and camping hobby, we will be back often for more of your great videos and tips for our camper. We started with tent camping, then had a class A that we loved but couldn't afford, and now have a Rockwood pop-up that we refurbished like new and have been using for several years. We are looking to graduate to a class B camper van in the near future. It is the best of all worlds, and I would love to live in one full time and see the world. Thanks again for this most enjoyable video and channel - we have liked, subscribed and we plan to watch all of your videos tonight. Best wishes to you from Mrs Ginny and family.

I am looking at a Dodge handicap van right now. I would sure like to get in touch with you for the interior layout. It's got the same basic shape including the top. Minus the windows. I was thinking the same thing about the front windows. They take wind and abuse. I am going to use the wheelchair lift as a slide out shower/toilet. But the rest of the van I was going to build pretty much like yours. Thanks for showing us one of the best desinged class B van's out here.
@ScaredStupid6 жыл бұрын
Hey there, if you want to get in touch with me go to the main page of my channel and then go to the "about" tab. It has a mailing address and if you click on "business inquiries" you can get my email address. I think your plan is a very good one. I have some ideas for building my next RV and I've started doing a "rough draft" using my 5' x 10' cargo trailer. So far I've only installed the solar setup and now I'm getting parts and ideas to get the rest put together. The reason I'm doing this is it seems no matter how much money I throw at a newer RV, I'm not going to like it. Even if I spend $150k on a newer class B, the RV is going to be absurdly heavy, have too many windows, and it's only going to be suitable for weekend excursions in nice weather. Honestly, I think building your own is really the only way to go if you have some backyard mechanic skills. There's a youtuber with the channel name of NØMAD who has a brilliant way of doing some of the cabinetry which I think I'm going to try out. One of my big concerns is keeping the vehicle weight down, and his method is ideal. Give it watch if you get a chance.

That large separate shower is awesome! I personally find wet baths kind of yucky.
@ScaredStupid8 жыл бұрын
To be honest wet baths are ok if you keep on top of cleaning them. My sail boat had the shower and "toilet" combined and I gave it a quick wipe down every time I used the shower and it was fine. I sort of begrudge not combing the two to save space in the RV, but yes, the sit-down shower in the RV is opulent compared to what I had on the boat. It's nice being able to soak my feet after a long day.

Nice little van/camper. It has everything you need for Pennies on the dollar compared to anything new. It’s all you need and probably much easier and cheaper to repair and maintain than new. Obviously much better quality than new, look how long it has lasted.

nice motor home I have just brought another boat to do up but now it turns out I might have to move to a smaller place so I might have to sell my boat! so I am now thinking of getting a van and converting it to a basic rv with kayaks on top for my fishing trips :)
@ScaredStupid8 жыл бұрын
+my boat, motorhome and fishing adventures If you have the place, tools, and ability to convert your own van it's definitely the way to go. Anything readily made, such as my RV, is a package of compromises that you make work. Another advantage of converting a van is it's stealth ability as long as you don't get too crazy.It's my long ambition to find a big 4wd van and make it into a an awesome cold climate bush buggy that can handle the trails/snow and have the power to pull a quad or motorcycle trailer. Someday.

Nice vid! Right wear the Mr. Buddy is located u could put in a one cubic foot mini wood burner. It mounts on the wall. Down size all those clothes and make partially the front nose above the cab an herb garden. That's what I would do. Hope your still traveling! Happy trails
@ScaredStupid6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I installed a Dickinson Newport Gas fireplace where the Buddy heater was located. I seriously considered going with a wood burning appliance, but I need some thing that turns on and off fast so gas won out.

Your camera really doesn't do a great job tho, hard to really picture the size(zoomed in).
@chailatte79267 жыл бұрын
I would look on KZbin, Pinterest (your best option imho) or Google for ways to organize small spaces/kitchens. You're missing basic essential organizing supplies that I use in my big kitchen. For instance, dollar store magazine racks or office organizers can be installed to the inside of a cupboard door to hold all your plastic sandwich bags & other Glad/Hefty boxes. That whole shelf could've been cleared off. I also use metal racks in my shelves to better stack things. The possibilities are endless.
@ScaredStupid7 жыл бұрын
My "kitchen" looks a bit different now. I've been living in my RV for quite a while so I've reduced my kitchen down to what I consider essentials: 1 pot, 1 fry pan, 1 plate, 1 coffee mug, 1 soup mug, a roll of tinfoil (for baked potatoes in campfire!) and misc utensils. That's it.

If you get yourself an axe, get one that has an steel head infused with the steel handle with rubber cushioned handle , so no wooden handle breaking. I would get a portable finish made camp manual saw for fire wood cutting, this would serve you for most services , you really would not need to carry a chain saw and have to worry about storage of also the fuel and oil etc. I used .annual tools all my life, also, by using manual tools, helps keep your joints more flexible, less atheistic, more health wise. Also carry with you portable snow car folding shovel or army folding trench shovel. Good luck sir, on your travels. Kevin Phoenix.

I really want to live in a class B rv. My only challenge is I CANNOT live without AC during the summer while sleeping. Minimum I gotta have AC for 10 hours (I dont sleep that long, but I like to wind down after a shower before bed. Can a solar panel keep an AC unit running all night long during the summer? What about those gas generators that a lot of the class A's and C's have?
@curtiscassida8 жыл бұрын
no. drive it someplace cooler.
@ScaredStupid8 жыл бұрын
If you have enough solar panels and batteries, sure, why not. Justincredible is a KZbinr that lives in his RV over on the mainland where it gets much much hotter. Search his KZbin video titles and see if he has anything on his power/AC setup. If not ask and see if he'll give you some tips.

I can see myself in a camper or tint home with a Kimberly wood stove. They are so expensive but the most efficient ones. They can burn up to 8 hours on a single eco wood log.
@ScaredStupid9 жыл бұрын
+Eric St-Louis While it's very aesthetically pleasing, I'm not a fan of the Kimberly. Even the crudest wood burning stove is efficient if you set it up right. Wood goes in, ash comes out. Considering the Kimberly wood stove would run approx $5000 here in Canada I can't justify purchasing one unless I win $5 million in the next lotto 649. Even then I probably wouldn't because I feel it's a ridiculous sum of cash for a container that you burn wood in. Then again, I would happily pay $5000 for a precision rifle only to use it to put holes in 8"x11" sheets of paper, so you can take my rant with a grain of salt. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. Since you owned a boat, is there a product you can recommend to protect the fiberglass top from UV and the elements? Some high performance boat wax or something more permanent.
@ScaredStupid9 жыл бұрын
VanoRama RV I can't suggest anything permanent; when I had my boat I would wax it every six months. I can't remember the brand I used but I do remember it was a marine grade product of some kind. The fiberglass top on my RV is painted unlike the gel coating of my boat so I haven't felt the need to do anything with it.
@vanoramarv41939 жыл бұрын
Van Isle Gunnut OK, thanks. I was hoping for a permanent type coating. I don't want to wax the roof all the time, but what's that compared to waxing a boat, ha.
