Such an inspirational creation! I have thoroughly enjoyed your families videos, it's nice to see a new one after so many years. Also, the video was very well made, with everyone in their places (pretending you weren't filming). I especially enjoyed seeing that the music was coming from someone in the house there at the end, that just made everything already perfect feel so personal. Absolutely beautiful... But I have some doubts... How concealed wiring was done in the mud walls? How ceiling was made with mud? It looks costly than a concrete house... But I am impressed.

ahh man what a delightful house, absolutely beautiful, ahh the beauty ,the presence, the fantastically homeliness and nearly everything back to basic,it seems as though its got a lovely atmosphere, and this will be in the people who have made and created it ,it must of came at a price ,beyond some of us,,but never mind you know what I mean ,the fashion lately to keep wood furniture down to its basic, rugged structure, I have like thousands of others coffee table and TV unit made out of pallet wood purchased on the high street, ,and compared to my older better quality furniture, yes it looks nice and I suppose practical it is just basic ,and works ,for its needs ''but the older furniture had been turned on lathes, varnished ,and was of a higher standard, but you look in our high streets now,not one really good furniture shop, unless you are talking of spending ,thousands upon thousands of pounds, as I was divorced 1997 and I had to immediately become a carer for my old mother until 2016 when she died, age 91 and also myself having strokes 6 years ago,and continuing to care for her.24+7 52 weeks of the year. when divorce or bereavements,occur some people say'' get rid of the old , and in with the new, but your mind is confused ,and if only I had support, all people need to sit ,wait ,rest and think ,because even though now ,the high street,furniture and fashion, the pattern is the now,its basically ,wood,( pallets)stripped down to bare minimum,where really we all could make these in a shed,I have seen pallets next to dustbins,at the local shop .as I am 60 I could eventually do it with transport, tools ,shed, this now fashionable furniture could be made more or less free,and the shops,internet are charging an arm and a leg for it,and when you get it, there's bits of metal,in the finish ,its chipped, dents, yes great it keeps our foreign friends in work,brilliant,and I am all for preservation and recycle , but its not real stylish and worked furniture,where real skills ,lathes varnishes etc etc,made to be passed down from generation,just like the old painters,real artists ,absolutely brilliant works of art, that take your breath away,real furniture is like that eg Thomas Chippendale,anybody can nail a few pieces of wood together,and call it a table, but this is what's promoted and advertised etc, but these would never ever be seen in rich family's homes or somebody with a few quid,

Shen Zhou Shen the fashion is now not to work wood,you and I could nail a few bits of wood together and call it a table,but our friends could tell it was xxxx,and this is what is getting sold on the high street, internet and catalogues, absolute garbage,,old pallets of recycled wood,broken nails included in the finish,and when you having getting them home, assembled them ,you will know what I mean ,and the recycle ,the government ,advertisers ( for the planet) and manufacturers have done there bit, and you are stuck with student throwaway garbage furniture'' ,at the cost to your hard earned cash ,,I have getting rid of massively better quality furniture,due to bereavements,and my own divorces (mind and mental health not rested or clear) and replaced it with recycled garbage, where you and I, or the milkmaid could nail together a few bits of wood and call it a wardrobe etc you mark my words ''you go check it out and see what I mean,at first,you will say'' oh its seems quaint,pretty, rugged ,bare ,but look again ,and then compare it with a piece of wood ,loved and delectably turned,sanded smoothed,varnished, polished .made in to a real piece of furniture ,you will look again ,then you will see its rugged, ugly ,and what our grandfathers used to call there old shed, built after the war and nailed together with old lattes of discarded wood ,found on local tip or bomb site. and this what they are calling our kind of fashionable furniture, but this is not for the rich or the shrewd, they are more sensible and quaint.

It has changed witchcraftically into mortgage loan& rent homes the governments own. We al are masal brutally sweeped away from the knowledge and inheritance of our ancestors, replaced with bare wisdom and zero lasting clothes/furniture's and houses! To make us and our upcoming generations poor.. We are so fooled! Most are even doomed.. We really need to accomplish the wise lifestyle 🙏🌿🤗💪

Hi J. It's a 1,400 sq. ft. (130m2) house. We built it for €120,000 - which is still not cheap by many people's standards. However, that is very cheap for Ireland. Because we used a lot of free materials, when we had to buy materials, we were able to afford the top-of-the-range stuff. So the windows, the bought insulation, the heating system, etc. are all very high specification. If we had put in more "normal" materials, we could probably have built the house for around €75,000, but it wouldn't be the same quality. ..... But if we had the house built for us by a commercial contractor using all top-of-the-range materials, it would probably have cost in the region of €350,000 in this part of the world. So we now have a really high-spec house for a fraction of the cost of a comparable, conventional house ... and it is anything but conventional.

+MortalSong Hi. Thanks for your kind words. We do get phone and internet reception but there are quite a few blackspots. I'm not sure if that is to do with the cob or whether it's just because the phone and broadband service in the west of Ireland is so poor.
