While I was working at a gun store we had a guy who owns an F/A MP5 come in with his new Q supressor. He said that Q told him to try to destroy the suppressor. After a couple mags he had a couple baffle strikes due to the suppressor not being aligned properly, but when he got the replacement, he spent 4 hours mag dumping trying to break it again and he could not

It's funny now I want one of these Q guns and big respect for their approach but also really like what PSA is doing making something anyone can afford as well as they can. I could get 6+ ARs from PSA for what one Q would cost. And depending on your needs both options could be good choices. It's so cool having companies pushing to do both ends of the spectrum as well as they can.

Q is one of the few gun companies that are actually going outside the box in some areas, not all mostly ammo, to innovate. Every few years the new “greatest cartridge ever!” comes out that is close to everything else. The 8.6 BLK is truly innovative.

those are highly engineered mufflers. you could make them much easier and cruder, but these are masterwork. never seen baffles shaped like that. im used to them just being washers spaced with tube steel inside a steel tube with maybe some rubber baffles added to help make it a lil quieter.

With a company like DD making CHF CL barrels that I can shoot 1/2 moa with after 5,000 rnds it’s hard for me to switch. But I’ll be damned if Q doesn’t make a nice and aesthetic shooter straight from the factory. All it needs is a T2, light and sling and your pretty much done.

Man I loved the way that guy talked agreed with everything he said and what they do there and the argument about suppressor why would you shoot without one I can easily say I can't afford suppressor always way out of my budget so I shoot my guns all day long with I have hearing protection. I can't afford guns that like 900.00 and above I have to make do with I have but they always work and don't malfunction but that's just me.

How about doing the best side by side/ over under survival gun in like 30-06 over 20 gage. Or 243 or maybe 7-30 waters over 410 that also shoots 444 magnum, for example. P.s. while your at it make a 45 caliber muzzle loader with electronic ignition instead of a percussion cap of any kind.

Glad you’re getting an AR. Congrats. Not sure you need a top 1 percent AR to get started. But if you got it, get it. Myself, I have no need for a 3-4K rifle. Would much rather have 2-3 BCM rifles than a Q rifle. As a civilian, I don’t need a Bugatti of a rifle. I would rather have 2-3 Mercedes rifles.

Why not start with the inner portion of the silencer and then make the can around that? That should solve the warpage/centric issues while adding strength and durability. This seems to be the same issue the motorcycle manufacturers had with the inverted fork setups, it took 20 years to realize if you inverted the tubes you get better suspension/handling

All this Q stuff going around, but I've yet to see anything Q actually in the wild anywhere. My local store was just recently listed as a "Top Shelf" dealer. I don't know where all these Q owners are, but they certainly won't be shooting barrels out anytime soon.

I like the idea of .300blk, but just like Kevin said, point of failure, when you've got a 5.56 gun, personally, or on a team, that .300blk will chamber in a 5.56. That was a huge mistake! I don’t wanna have to spend another $3500 just to get the SD after already dropping $3000.
