The wood grain painting that is on the different pieces, looks like the way my grandpa painted their furniture. When my grandma would get pregnant, he would paint all of the wooden furniture in the house. Sometimes it was brown sometimes it was even White. There was five layers on each set of wooden furniture. And the last one was that Birdseye Maple type. It just reminds me of what my grandpa did and we had a few of the dining room chairs left after my grandma and grandpa passed away

The PA chalkware spaniel caught my eye....would love to have seen a close up detailed look.....these pieces are so hard to find....I'm telling you they can catch my eye in a New York second. LOL. I keep thinking there's not much more that I need or can even use (as in find a place for it) but then there's that next thing, and it comes home with me.

I do look for certain things but usually find and get the unexpected. Baskets, boxes, redware, bowls, coverlets, folk art...just to name a few. It'snot like I need more.

Wonderful shop, wish I lived closer, probably good that I don't. Looking for an almond in the stone fruit and then whatever yells at me to purchase it. Thanks for the tour

You're so welcome! Hummmm I just saw stone nuts recently, on camera. You'll have to keep watching!

Now you have me wondering where

Yes, I am searching! ...looking for a diminutive (slightly more shallow) step back cupboard, or dry sink, for in my entry. Also, a (approx. 17") dough bowl with old paint and a wooden box (also with old paint). Not easy when there are specifics.

I don't look for anything in particular. I do like needlework and baskets. I had an Uncle that made baskets. I have two of the baskets that he made from a Poplar tree he cut down and made into baskets for family. I wish someone had paid attention and taken notes of the process.
