Really! Very safe. You have to be smart in any boat no matter the size. Checking the weather and having a weather radio with alerts is common sense as well as an EPIRB

As far as the air conditioner at the helm. I don’t see how you’re gonna stay nice and cool when it is a totally open platform. If they had it enclosed you have a chance of staying cool

I hear you - it does seem a little silly to have ac vents blowing cold air when you're out in the open air and it can escape quickly. However, even though the ac vents cool off the cabin down below incredibly, you'd be surprised by how much of a difference it can make to have those vents at the helm as well. You definitely appreciate having it!
