We are planning to visit end of December. What will be the weather and feel based on your experience? Swimming is ok?

Really depends..last year around christmas we had lows in the upper 30s and low 40s for a few days but that was not normal at all. Typically in December we have highs in the low to mid 70s and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Water temp will be in the mid 70s which is a bit chilly to a local, but plenty of people swim in the gulf down here in December.@@Wanderlust2210

Very good overview, thank you! We are arriving May 30 and will go check out some of your recommendations. Friends we grew up with in Pittsburgh have invited us to recreate our old neighborhood in this area, looks really beautiful!
