Brings back memories. I was drafted during Vietnam and ended up in the Quartermaster Corp. MOS was Mechanized Stock Control and Accounting. We punched transactions into cards and fed the cards into an NCR 500 Accounting Machine. After I got out I learned IBM 360 Assembler language. Each line of code was punched into an 80 column card. The cards were fed into a reader and the IBM 360 water cooled computer would assemble the code into a machine language program to execute.
