Fond memories of San Jose Speedway back in the 60's on Saturday nights. Howard and Herb were just getting going. My dad had a tire shop(D & H Tires) on Alum Rock Ave, recapping Goodyear Blue Streaks into racing tires. Made the rounds; Kearney Bowl on Friday nights, San Jose on Saturday nights and Clovis(dirt) on Sundays. Amazing to see the transformation from Hardtops to Supermodifieds over the years. Howard very successful beyond the Marshall Sargent, Al Pombo era.

Watched Howard & Brent at San Jose back in '88-'89. Great racing there. Watched you at Stockton 2 years ago. I even talked to you in the pits that night.

Cool video. I grew up going to San Jose speedway. Too bad about the fire I remember when that happened. I actually recently found a jacket that was from kaeding performance in the gambler era. My dad went to high school with brent and he told me the jacket was on the wall 30 years ago which I beleive I confirmed, when I put it on Christmas day and was stung by a dead hornet inside it. Lol. I think it would be cool to give back as I can't wear it anymore and I doubt there are many around anymore.
