The previous owners did a wonderful job. The kitchen is delightful! A good blend of old a new yet maintaining the feel of the period. I love the pointed arch windows. Move in ready giving plenty of time to make any desired changes in the future. Love this house. Thank you for the tour.

The upstairs chapel element was nice. I wonder if the previous owner was a hairdresser and used the pink striped wallpaper room with the black & white floor as a home salon to do hair in.

Yes, to see that nice baseboard in the closet is nice because you can at least match the new baseboards to the original. So strange to see those bay windows with no cases, mouldings, nothing but wallpaper. Maybe the previous owner started restoration but ran out of will or money.

What an amazing house, just lovely. It’s also really much bigger than it looks! It’s also in excellent shape. Lovely porch. The most jaw dropping feature of this house….. the price tag. 125.000…. unbelievable. What a deal!!! You could also have a border to occupy the bedroom and lovely 2nd kitchen! At first l thought this house was situated in Belleville Ontario, Canada. Two second in l realized , it’s somewhere in Illinois. If those house was listed in Belleville, Ontario, l would think the price tag would be more like 5-600.000! No, I’m not kidding!! Housing prices in the area where l live are have doubled this past year!!! I can’t believe this house is selling for a measly 125.000!!!!

I really like the original windows and wood floors. Some of the updates are not very sympathetic but could easily be changed. I love the style of the exterior. The price seems so cheap - Where I live in England £230,000 will only buy you a 350 sq ft apartment but I suppose that is true in other areas of the US too. Thank you for the tour!

What a beauty! So many nice features - lovely windows, floors, transoms, etc. It’s livable so someone could move in and do all the things that need doing to restore this house. Very doable! Wow! Lot going on in there ..lol I really like the house. I like the floral wall papers down stairs, but aren't they more Victorian though then gothic revival? I like the downstairs kitchen but don't like the wall covering or the chicken wire on the cabinet doors. If this was a old farmhouse it might be more fitting. Love love the tin ceiling. I see robins egg blue walls and maybe that tin ceiling as a back splash as well. Those 2 room beyond the kitchen has some real potential. I see a butler pantry but they are usually off of a dining room, and then a laundry room beyond that. I think I would take out 2nd floor kitchen. I am a tailor and I think that would make me a great sewing room..lol I love all the bathroom fittings. I think they stay in keeping with the house. Picket fence...awesome! Staircase and entrance hall lovely. I also love how the front door is set off at a angle. Gothic revival was started in the 1700s in the UK. It's funny how the style stuck for over 100yrs.😉 Oh Ken, fun fact, my husband's name is Ken.👍

What I wouldn’t give for an extra $100k, a priest and to live a little closer. This house is darling and could be a showstopper but agree with a previous comment about the upstairs being a bit spooky. I laughed out loud because I used two of the same wallpapers on the main floor in the early 90s.

Little kitchen update , get some of the obvious things that aren't original out and change that upstairs kitchen into a bathroom because it's not a 3 bath , it's a 2 and a half bath but endless possibilities. I would love to see a original floor plan or figure out how it was originally planned out for sure !
@chuckandmax73133 жыл бұрын
What a cute little house, and you can’t beat the price, with my budget of 300k I could do a substantial amount of remodeling and upgrades where I would give it even more of a period look and feel, I could spend $10,000 I’m wallpaper alone and have my William Morris dream cottage, I’m kind of iffy on the second kitchen but with my roommate it could work well he could have his own kitchen that I wouldn’t have to look at, but really that kitchen can be converted into an arts and crafts room with working sink or even a laundry room as I didn’t notice the house having.

That amount of work being put into that house would really make it a special place!

Seems bigger inside than the exterior anticipates. That double mantle, though, is closer to 1900 than 1860s. That master bedroom needs baseboards. The kitchen is a gem, though perhaps that is half a Majestic stove?
