Muang Ngoy is a wonderful place and hiking in the country and litttle villages around, through rice fields is great. I was there about 7 years ago and it didn't change. Back in the days, it was only possible to go there with tail boats on the river. I think there is a road now. I stayed in Ning Ning Guesthouse, which we can see at the very beginning of your video.
