Paris has tons of great restaurants to choose from. In this neighborhood it's Au Boeuf Couronné.

Is it safe for women to walk around at night when it’s dark?

I can't speak for women, but it's one of the safest places that I've been. It's very safe, in comparison to big cities in the USA
